How was your experience with ultimate Kilimanjaro? And what did you think about the northern route? I'm thinking about booking the northern route for next year. Great video btw
Ultimate Kilimanjaro was great to work with. We booked it as a private climb, just my wife and I - WELL worth the experience. We had 2 Guides, about 13 porters, a cook and a waiter - we were spoiled by them everyday. We really enjoyed the Northern Circuit - while the route starts from a busy trailhead, but once you are on the the Northern side of the mountain is peaceful and very quiet. On summit day we had the entire mountain to ourselves until we joined the main climbing route for the final push. If you're looking to simply climb the mountain you can do it in a much shorter climb - but the 9 day Northern Circuit offered the private experience we were looking for, and there weren't any days that I would consider difficult - it's all very manageable - of course that is in comparison to the other Seven Summit peaks we have climbed. (And I would highly recommend asking Ultimate Kili to arrange your Safari post climb - we spent 4 days on Safari with excellent accommodations and again - a private experience with our own jeep and driver / guide.)
