vs the Atomic Maverick 88 Ti ?
@Aussieskier

Enforcer is more of an off-piste oriented geometry with the extra rocker especially in the tip. Maverick is less rockered which means the tip will engage more strongly on groomers.

They ski true to length so go with your gut feel, no need to adjust length due to rocker or anything else.

Hi, I got my hands on a pair of Enforcer 99 of 179cm. I am 173 cm tall, advanced but not expert, 67 kg. I won't get to test them until next winter. Do you think it's the right length for me? I think 173 would have been better, I like to go fast on the slopes so I believe the 179 will good and stable but I am wondering how they will perform in off-piste, in the trees. How tall are you, what length did you test? Do you think they will feel good for me? Thanks!
@Aussieskier
@Aussieskier 4 месяца назад
I'm 170cm, was about 72kg when I tested them, I typically ski skis around the 180cm mark, I'd go that length if you want speed but you could consider going shorter if you want more manouverability.
@scollyutube
@scollyutube 3 месяца назад
Did you think the new one was any less direct, as in easier or softer than the 2024, or just more the change to the tail shape and really same ski capability wise? Just asking as 24 models are half price now, and I'd guess the 99s aren't worth twice the price of the model 24 100? 😉

How would you say these compare to the enforcer 89. Is there any pros or cons for certain conditions?
@Aussieskier
@Aussieskier 5 месяцев назад
I would probably say due to the milder tip rocker in the Anomaly they would be better on-piste, but honestly they are 2 of the best 88/89mm all mountain skis you can buy. I've had the old Enforcer 88 as my personal ski and loved it, and I'll give the Anomaly a try this year I reckon.
@JackWutang
@JackWutang 5 месяцев назад
Goggles are over-engineered these days. I've owned the flight decks, fall lines, and line miners. They all fail in comparison to something like the Anon M4. What's the point of having the magnets in addition to the locking system? Kinda redundant in my opinion.
@Aussieskier
@Aussieskier 5 месяцев назад
We are huge fans of the Anon M-series goggles and I was in M4 for about 4 years until this year when I got some M5 that I am also super happy with. It's my understanding that Anon has a watertight patent on magnet-only goggles so all the other brands have some sort of catch system too. But it's nice to see some Oakleys with a simple lens interchange so fans of the brand now have the option, the more options for consumers the better if you ask me!

I wonder why ski reviewers don´t try their skis tougher. I am alwyas looking forward to see the reviewer in a steep couloir and in a super icy piste, and in a hard packed mogul field and on a heavy snow crust. But no no. Sun, powder, soft snow and sliding in the piste are their choice of test tracks. The rest is all words.
@edking4226
@edking4226 5 месяцев назад
You realize most people ski the terrain you just mentioned. I own this ski and it's not an extreme ski for those conditions you want. For what you mentioned on the harder conditions you want some metal in your ski. This is for softer snow / trees and sure some steeper terrain but you aren't bombing of 30ft drops with these. They are too soft.
