I disagree tho, I have 1000 hours on reaper (almost 800 are PvP and WvW). Reaper deals tons of damage, but it's easily countered since it lacks protections, anyone with decent CC can kill a reaper if they know what they're doing. I love the class but it's no that great in PvP as others (100 hours with a Guardian and that thing stomps in PvP easily). It's outstanding in PvP/WvW if you have a support besides you to give you those protections though, otherwise is mediocre at best.
@@Lothkrunah. Its not that reaper is bad in pvp. Its that most reaper players try to facetank everything with no life force management instead of using spectral and wurm jukes to outplay opponent. Also guardian isnt as strong as you make it sound. Reaper counters them hard
What does Curses traitline really offer for power builds? Never understood why it was popular for Greatsword How do you feel about taking Death Magic with Greatsword for the carapace stacks?
The biggest thing I use it for is the condi transfer and boon rip…getting stuck with blinds or weakness can really mess up gs bursts and boon more boon rips help to get rid of stab and land CC chains when you need them

Your video just got me into GW2. I mainly play solo and looking to roam in WvW. Looking for a high skill flashy profession. Considering Chronomancer and Specter. Any suggestions? Awesome video btw!
For starting out roaming I would play specter over my chrono build only because the play style for this build requires a lot of mechanical knowledge to perform consistently. If you look at my older videos I started my roaming journey playing every class in the game just to learn how to counter everything. Best to start there playing a little bit of everything 👍🏼

As a WoW 2004 - Present player who’s been wanting to branch out for years, this looks so flashy and cool compared to WoW PvP, at least the classes I play! Makes me want to play… whatever this is, but I feel like I’d think that with nearly any PvP video I watched for GW2 lol
I’ve done PvP in both games and like Guild Wars 2 way better because it’s more of a movement mechanic based combat and a little more complex…and yes very flashy too because of the dodging and movement skills haha
WoW PvP is way more reliant on player stats than player skills. Gw2 take into account the player skills on the class above all. If you enjoy PvP you should try it.
