GOD I love a day where i find a random obscure band on my youtube reccomendations thank you! reminds me the Killswitch (although ngl those cleans are rough i thought I sped up the video for a second lmao)
The reason this fight is so hard is because the pirate troopers don’t die to friendly fire from the omega pirate like they did in the OG version. That version was def a challenge as well but you didn’t have to worry about the reinforcements since the omega pirate would kill them with his shockwaves and cannons
I love he immediately seems to recognize it’s “The Hunter” as he confidently breaks out of his containment. Omega Pirate really is the pinnacle of Space Pirate hubris in this game.
Start with a power bomb to get him into x-ray mode, ignore space pirates and keep the Omega in X-ray mode by shower him with Power missiles. I spent so much time on this one, before I figured it out. Now it’s one of the easier bosses.
I Love it!, Playing since 1987. Never knew about Metroid after the Fusion. My Fav is Dread! & Im liking this Better im on THis Pirate First time ever. Ever since super back in the 80S i still think the first one Metroid & Fusion and Dread are the true ones not any Prime ones.
First time ever fighting this guy, I didn’t find super missile, wave buster or any of those attacks. Finished this fight with about…5 energy left? Not 5 energy tanks. 5 energy points. As in a sneeze would kill me.
Dang, Super Missiles are way more powerful here than I thought. I didn’t know they took so much health off during the X-Ray phase. One tip I have for those struggling with this boss: Power Bombs break the Omega Pirate’s armor instantly (and has the nice side benefit of getting rid of any beam pirates nearby)
On hard mode the go-to strategy is to power bomb the Wave Troopers while waiting for the Omega to heal. Gives you some reloads and keeps them from chipping away at your health while you are trying to dps
@@7Link7 While I generally agree with this, I think it only does 30 more damage to a single target (180 vs 150), so not really worth double the missile count. I am curious if Flamethrower is worth the missile usage. I haven't really found it to be, but then again I've not tried it much.
This boss destroyed me! Definitely the hardest fight yet. I didn't realize that super missiles pretty much wreck him when he's invisible. I was just using plasma beam. Those regular pirates are a pain to deal with!! Hard to focus on two things at once.
Yea, super missiles are the way to go when he's invisible. You'll especially want to use them if you face him on hard difficulty. This fight is not easy on hard.
@@MrDarksword123yeah, I really needed this video for that tip alone. After losing two or three times, I realized I was wasting my super missles on breaking his armour. It was so hard until I just blasted him while invisible, made things Sooooo much easier. The super bomb does wonders on the armour plates too, kinda placed one by accident but it worked out well for me lol
@@technician0096 yup that too. This fight on hard is pretty intense but if you're prepared, you'll be able to end him without it coming down to the wire.
The new scene is from the original European and Japanese versions. Honestly, I think it works because who would pose like that after a giant monster fell on them? 😂
I really like the original pose. To me it was her overcoming a deadly virus infecting her. Making her natural overcoming the phazon even if it was extremely painful at first.
You're not talking about the original animation but the one from the american version. What you see here IS the original. And that american one is tacky as hell and doesn't make any sense.
