Not to sound rude but i dont think hot toys messed up the ball joint for you and you probably broke the neck socket yourself trying to push the larger side in. The smaller side ball Is in fact suppose to be in the neck and the larger ball in in the head. granted im not saying its entirely on you, my special edition head wouldnt fit onto the peg. I think its just hot toys poor quality control but heating the head made it fit in. Ive heard a couple people saying the head sockets were kinda tight but just heating it with a hairdryer or something does the trick. But yeah if you try putting the head on with the smaller ball in it, it doesnt fit or hold at all they just made the head sockets too tight but they definately didnt factory install your balljoint flipped the wrong way. id suggest correcting what youre saying in your video cause the ball joints definately were not swapped backwords and saying they were might lead to other trying to force that larger piece in the neck and also unintentionally breaking their figures. I feel for you tho at least they were still willing to send you a new figure and replace the broken one. The ball joint will come the same way- smaller down and bigger side up. Dont try to force the bigger in the neck youll break it again
Hottoys is reliable in being unreliable, small problems happen all the time but at least Sideshow is really great with customer support and fixing this stuff. When you get the replacement it'll feel like youre getting a new figure all over again so enjoy!
I feel the pain man. I can't tell u the amount of Toys I have bought that have some sort of small to major flaw like this. Sometimes I just suck it up because I simply can't be bothered to go through the rigmorale of the return but with something as bad as this, its gotta go back. Looks to me to be a seriously bad design choice anyway. Why not make both ends the same and avoid the big peg problem altogether. Stay strong buddy
@@unorthdoxcleric6953 Thanks. Yeah I've initiated a full replacement with Sideshow but they won't send the new figure until they get the defective ones first. So I'll probably get it sometime mid August which stinks. I too wondered why the different ball socket sizes for the neck peg?? QC seems to have gotten much worse with all high end figures. Takes longer to get them, QC is worse, and prices continue to rise. I've been out of room for a while now so I'll definitely be picking and choosing much more going forward.
@@spectre4393 They wanted the entire thing back. So I had to package it all back up nicely and send it back to them. Once they receive it they will send me another. First time I've had to send back the entire thing. So I'll hopefully have a new one by mid August 🙄
@@TheCollectorCave not bright or dark . but direction of the lighting should be in front of figure not from the side. strong lighting from the side will cast shadow on your figure it make we hard to see all details on it.
@@fiftyfive5459 Thanks for the feedback! I tried the official "key lighting" where the light is at 45 degrees. For product reviews though I think you are right. I'll give it shot going forward!
So tempted to get this but I've been on too big a figure kick lately. If the arms wouldn't be locked to 90 I would have probably bought the listing I saw already. Now I have to think on it. She'd go great with my Figuarts Chun-Li I feel.
These figures are not cheap so sometimes you have to pick and choose! I will say I'm glad I have her, but I'm collecting the whole team so she was a must!
I really enjoy checking these FF bring arts and PAK out so cheers for the detailed look! I really like this first class version but man is he expensive 🥲
I bought the first version and her initial head sculpt did look off. The shape of her eyes in particular. I just received the reissue and it looks much better. I want the new Yuffie without the moogle cloak. It would be cool if they did some of the swimsuits for Aerith and Tifa. I am mostly wanting the party but i did get the red dress Aerith and purple dress Tifa. Ill probably skip the random Shinra soldiers unless they do disguised Tifa, Aerith and Cloud. Sailor Barret and Red in disguise might be cool. Its too expensive to be a completionist. Id like a Scarlet figure. And I may pick up Elena and a Tseng if they do Tseng since i have Rufus, Reno and Rude. Beyond that im mostly wanting the main party. Still need Vincent, Cid and Cait Sith. Not interested in Roche, Sonon, etc. They could make Don Corneo and Dio but id skip them. I wouldn't mind a Madame M though.
@@Linkman247 Yeah I don't own any of the Turks or Rufus. May get them eventually if they drop in price considerably. I'm all in on getting the party. I have the classic Yuffie on pre-order. Like you I'm waiting for Cait, Cid, and Vincent too! I would probably buy Tseng, just because there's only like one dig if him ever made.
@@TheCollectorCave yea I'll definitely, and I think they did change the body up or at least the limbs cos I remember some figs were feeling a bit like hasbro type plastic where they feel a bit gummy
5:33 - My dog let's me know the delivery person is here. 5:38 - My dog let's me know that my Tifa figure from Play Arts Kai has arrived! 6:03 - My dog is excited that I received yet another toy.
@@TheCollectorCave season 2 was announced to come out later this year and I'm guesssing that's where we'll see more of A2 so maybe that's when tamashii will announce her figure.
Btw, when it comes to the price, don’t order from the Playstation Store or anywhere where they are way sold for around 130 dollars/euros. AmiAmi and Meccha Japan offer them for around 70-75 euros. Still a little pricey for what they are but a lot more justifiable than the ridiculous Square Enix prices. And if you miss out on a preorder or stocked item, they are re releasing each figure so far so you should get a second chance if you miss out on a figure.
I’m selling of my Play Arts Kai Remake figures in favor of these Bring Arts. I like the Remake figures but as a 6”-7” figure collector, they are simply to big for my taste. Also in terms of likeness the PAK figures just aren’t at the level they should be. These however look gorgeous and are more in line with my overall collection. Too bad they’re so pricey but as I’m phasing out of collecting, these seem like a great last hoorah to end on. All of them together should look insane!
Yeah, apart from the Bring Arts Cloud (leg issue), I'm impressed with the Bring Arts FF7 stuff, and it's closer to the original look. With that said, I think most of the PAK that I've got from Remake look really good (I have the updated Tifa with more accurate face sculpt on pre-order). But yeah these things are expensive for what they are, Bring Arts included. But I think that's mostly the price we pay for import figures! Sorry to hear you are phasing out of collecting (I know I've done it a few times in my life), but there are far more important things in life!
@@TheCollectorCave well I’ve been collecting for over 20 years and want to start putting my money into travelling more. Basically trading one source of fun for another 😁
It's possible. They've fixed other issues in the past with re-releases. I'm happy I have him though. If you don't play with him much the leg is not an issue.
Yea the head stitching was on the older spidey figs too. I am just surprised given so many years have passed and they still can't figure out a better way to take care of the head stotching.
@@TheCollectorCave that's good. I personally would just worry too much. That's why I sold the arkham batman because I was to scared to even pose that fig cos the smoothness of the suit. I worried ill crease the hips so I never posed him.
Nice reviews for all the FF figures, very thorough with the articulation. Too bad this line is so expensive for how tiny they are... it's also sold out everywhere! Must be popular.
Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it. Yeah unfortunately for anyone in the states, these figs are pricey and Tifa is super popular, so she's hard to find!
@@TheCollectorCave i have watched lots of reviews for this third party figure.. I really hope if ever I will buy one, the issues will be minimal on my copy .. I really don’t want that gal when it is the “old/ classic” mask is put on his face.. and the gold discs i hope they are sewn properly..
@@pest174 Just to keep oils off the metal parts. I don't think you will see fingerprints on this though, unlike maybe a Hot Toys chrome trooper which would definitely show fingerprints.
Play Arts hasn't announced any new figs for Rebirth yet, so it might be a while! Personally, I love this look for Yuffie, but I understand why many like the traditional look due to the popularity of FF7 for so many years!
