I’m so frustrated! Next week I’m going to the city for a week. I was hoping to catch the Isles here, only to learn their one “home game” is being played at MetLife Stadium.
This is such a great video, you xovered everything. If you go to a came again in the future would love to see another one like it to see any differences or new additions/changes
Im 42, I've been an Islanders fan my whole life, I was too young to remember the Dynasty but I sure do remember the years of hot garage after. From Spano to the Lighthouse project (God bless Mr. Wang, we're here because of you sir) Barclays and our beloved dump the Coliseum. I'm thankful for UBS. I now live in Vegas for 7 yrs and can't wait to come home to see our beautiful building! LGI!!!!
The hockey game experience starts with the warm up skate 30 minutes before the puck is dropped. When the game ends and the home wins then that is great ending. Usually the 3 stars of the game are home players and for three lucky people that means a signed warmed up puck from that player. You ever caught one of those signed pucks after a game. I have both Varley #40 and Pulock #6 after the team has won and the stars of the game come out.
went for the first time the game after this. the building is great. the only thing didnt like about it is that small town feel you got at the coliseum is totally gone isles are big time now
Yes, Nassau Coliseum had one of the greatest events they had. I went to 3 WWE Shows, 1 NY Dragons Game, 4 Islanders games which my dad used to take me there since I was a kid.
I only bet ponies once a year on KD & always the longshot for a c note. Thanks Rich Strike & Sonny,I'm still in shock. Best jockey & horse I've ever seen !!Bless you both.
@@bearinpinkk5072 45 years. I won 13 races at one Monmouth meet, rubbing horses. No one does that. Look at the overhead mid turn. Look at the fore legs.
It is said Rich Strike owners made the right decision not to go to Pimlico. Why? Horses are to be run, they should have shown how good is Rich Strike....or, was his win by cheating. Iam just asking.
@@maggiebaker1988 Mag, the Preakness has always been close to the Derby. Good horses dont get burn....Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Affirmed, just to mention. Years ago owners wanted to be in all three races of the triple crown. At that time the sport of kings was the sport of kings, every track was full of people every race day. Now you go the the tracks and you can count the few cats that will show up....specially on week days. Time ago an owner who won the Derby will never, never say no to the Preakness.
You say or ask for comment? I'm the one and only? I guess not many care or give a" Hoot " about your reaction or mine? I honestly thought it was a Great Win!! For all the parties 😅🎉 concerned. It was even Better for RICH STRIKE, who quelled a lot of critiziers n doubters, of His Quality, with that upsetting, but Bueatifully run Race n Finish. Hope He does well from Here on out. May Luck Flow Trough His Horse Shoe's.
Thanks for showing what it's like in Shirley. Definitely some neglect there, dangerous walking conditions. Again although its on the South Shore you're east of the enclave areas and it's a diverse area not a homogeneous area with finance professionals, so you get the Skidsville treatment. I have to avoid the main roads and walk down residential streets. I bet all the snow is shoveled in Patchogue, Blue Point, and Sayville...just because! Only thing I notice is that there is much less snow accumulation on the ground vs here, definitely well over a foot, unfortunately here we still have at least a foot of snow cover. Well Shirley still looks nicer than Hicksville at least you do have Pitch Pines around and there are Pine Barrens nearby. I wonder if the bus stops for the S66 were shoveled out?
