I was born in the best episode of polish history, the 2000's. I saw it rising to prosperity as I was growing up. I heard from my parents and grandparents about how we rose up from the totalitarianism of communist regime. I see Poland now about to finally keep up to western standard of wealth. In a week, on May 18, 2024, the biggest opposition Party in Poland - Law and Justice - is planning to hold a rally in Warsaw. According to party leader - Jarosław Kaczyński - the goal of the rally is to force the ruling majority in Polish parliament to pass a resolution against the European Green Deal. As concerns are rising about: 1. The development of Central Airport and Nuclear power plant in Poland (the new left-liberal government of Poland doesn't have a clear vision of it. Moreover, some politicians of the ruling coalition are openly against both building the Airport and Nuclear power plant), 2. Looming increases of prices 3. The matter of migrant relocation across EU member states The Polish prime minister Donald Tusk is constantly attacking Polish opposition, including law and justice (PiS) party, by trying to link it with Russia and Putin (despite all the help Ukraine received from Poland when PiS was in charge). He doesn't act to continue the investments in the country and stop European Green Deal and migrant pact. Mocking the political opponents and accusing them of absurd things - these the only things he can offer to the Poles. This is why the polish right-wing opposition parties have to win European Parliament election in Poland and then, in three years, defeat the current prime minister, who is constantly lying to Poles and is weakening the country.
