I always made the mistake of using cold water. I am shooting tomorrow and want to create a smaller amount flowing out of a body bag that someone is in. I'm going to use a 2 pint plastic pot and surround it with cloth towels to avoid over spill, as the actor will be in the bag. I'm hoping iw till drift up and around them and flow off the table. I really had no idea the hot water created the best results. You lives and learns. Thank you!
Can this used inside our house ? As I've read mnay people saying its dangerous and should not be used at home . I will be having a house party and the area is not very well ventilated is it safe to use ?mm
The water used is fairly hot - around 70-80 degrees. So boil a kettle, let it sit for 5-10 minutes and use. Just be careful not to splash the hot water. I hope this helps.
Hello. Can you please tell me what did you used or put to achieve this kind of smoking lava? This is how our science teacher want us to achieve. Please help. Thanks
For gender reveals, you will have to place hot water in a separate container inside the outer bowl. Activate the hot water and dry ice to create the smoke, then open the smoke bomb and place between the walls in the dry area, the bomb colour will carry out on the smoke...

Hi, I really need to know if I can use a slightly bigger bowl for the same measurements? Let’s say it’s 8 inches. The reason is because I want only a few minute effect with the fog and don’t want it to last that long.
Hi, yes you can use this for a gender reveal - you'll need a coloured smoke bomb to use alongside the dry ice, feel free to call or email if you'd like to talk it through! www.chillistick.com/chillistick-contact-information.html
Hi, the dry ice we produce is frozen CO2 - what we breathe out naturally - so it's non toxic and food grade, and perfectly safe in well ventilated areas.
I tried one halloween to smoke my plastic cauldron. I kept adding more water to the ice. After a little while the water froze. How much should I use to keep it going for a while?
Hello, you'll want to make sure the water is hot, and use a ratio of about 1:4 ice to water to make sure the water doesn't freeze. Done correctly the effect will last around 3-4 minutes before you need to top up the ice and water.
Hi @RoseTheLoser - in small quantities, it will be fine. Use in a ventilated space and it would be advisable to keep pets away. My cats ran for the hills whenever I introduced them to dry ice!
Hi Daniquethompson2853 - the smoke produced will always be white. You can change this by using coloured lights. The white will pick this up and give the illusion of being pink or blue... I hope this helps!
Hello there, what is the temperature of the gaseous phase produced as a result of this process? and what happens if I warm the gaseous phase, will it convert into a liquid, or remain as a gas having a higher temperature?
The temperature fluctuates based on the temp of the water it was dumped into and the air temp. heating the gaseous fog will make it thinner, cooling it will make it thicker and lower to the ground.
When used correctly, dry ice produces the smoking effect which is a little like cold steam! So it may leave a damp residue over floors but will not damage.
This fool is going to get thousands of people killed. Not once did he mentioned that this can wipe out your entire family through co1 poisoning. Everybody will fall asleep and die. Don’t do this shit, buy yourself a cheap fog machine.
