His fake yep , but just a reminder back in the 30s they had enough technologies to attach camera to cars...if u think around 37/40 cameras attached to stukas or to spitfire , fw which starts recording only when plane where dive or about to shoot (manually or automatically activated) .. but all that race stuff while is pretty easy find those kind of video in the hand of privates is not Easy find them in good shape..who choose to pre-work on them spent sure lot of Money and the end product finish off in museum Military videos are another pairs of hand's...if u think most of Words words pics and videos are still secretated...
You had me until @1:17 when I realized those are screen space reflections of trees in the water and the reflection doesn't show the tops of the trees as they are outside of the screen. And a few seconds later @1:25 they disappear abruptly as they get culled.
There is an error in the Track layout. There was no shicane befor start/finish. This was added 1967. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C3%BCrburgring#/media/Datei:Circuit_N%C3%BCrburgring-1927.svg
Very well done, mate! Had me fooled too in the first moments, but I noticed the hands movements on the steering wheel looked a bit too robotic to be real (that says it all), but really excellent job!
Yes, looks like he used a keyboard or a controller. A wheel would have looked a lot more believable. But to be honest, it's very hard to recreate driving these old cars in a sim no matter the equipment. If you steered the same way as the drivers back in the day did, you'd end up in a ditch on the first turn. I think handling isn't particularly realistic in Assetto Corsa with the old beasts.
This is fuckin$ insane, best thing I've seen on the internet in months!!!(Yes, I know it is not actual footage, But...Boy Howdy the men racing these cars of that era deserve a beer and a nod to their greatness.)
This was when Aldof was the instigator in the power of German engineering. They lost so many drivers, but he didn't care as long as a German cr won.the Auto union car is now just Audi, and Mercedes couldn't care that they raced for Hitler, my father told me all about them he loved F1, but was very bitter that he lost 7 years of his life proving that they weren't the master race after all!
Im working with anyone who wants to work with me, and most of the time I have no need to make Patreon or discord cus all I want is to share what I create for the community
Ey i edited much of it for it to look good on my PC, the original actually looks terrible to me, nothing like in f1n's videos, maybe one of the causes is that I'm running in an amd gpu
This is proof that this recording is (edit: a good) fake. Hohenrain chicane was installed in 1967. I suspect this is AC with the 1967 Nordschleife- Mod. Jumping hills near Brünnchen and in front of Schwalbenschwanz are still there.
Great! But for the purist, the real 1937 Grand Prix course had no Raidillon and no banked Stavelot, The Raidillon existed from 1939: before, there was a hairpin on the left after the Eau Rouge bridge, around the old toll house between Belgium and Prussia. For Stavelot, there was another hairpin a few hundred meters behind the corner in this AC layout (which existed only after WW2), hairpin that can be seen in a filmed document of the Grand Prix of 1939 on RU-vid called " 1939 Belgian Grand Prix Footage '".
It looks like they were on cobblestones at some points, and the size of the tires compared to today's racing tires, you wonder how they could control them. There was a lot of clanking from the onboard.
Goodness me. How thin are those tyres. They look like pram wheels. Sound of the engine is out of this world. Fantastic video of old Monaco. Today's F1 drivers have it so easy. Not taking it away from todays drivers however this clip shows proper racing drivers. Superb to see.
