Comedian Tom Dreesen (Mr. Sinatra's opening act for fourteen years at the latter end of his career), tells a story about eating dinner with "Mr. S.", at this Palm Springs home, along with Barbara Sinatra, Gregory Peck, Robert Wagner, Jill St. John, and others from Hollywood. Some of the table talk among the actors turned to where each had studied acting in their early days. Dreesen asked Mr. Sinatra, "Where did you study acting Frank?" Gregory Peck intervened with Dreesen, saying "He's (referring to Mr. S.) a natural-born, diamond in the rough, actor. Acting school would have ruined him."
Powerful film. Thanks for sharing. I never understand why the sound work in British films is so terrible. The music soundtracks and sound effects tracks are usually set high and loud, nearly blasting while the dialogue track is muted lower - and this one, scratchy. Still, this is a moving bit of history, which I've watched a couple of times. Classic
These voice over type of tv shows made them so easy to follow as child and even more intriguing as an adult. In addition the smoking cigarettes was a especially beautiful nuisance to watch by today's standards. 7am july 11. 2024 😅❤ 9:55
If you love Elvis or don't care for him, no one hates him. No one has ever replaced his talented grip. Everyone on earth loves at least one thing about him.
