I was there tuning for my guy Nick Ienatsch in 250GP- cool track, just a shame that nobody showed up - they're were more people in the pits than there were in the grandstands- maybe it was because the riders actually had to turn to the RIGHT on a few occasions
That crash at 12:17 was the front tire loosing traction on the white paint & gripping again after leaving the slippery paint & loading Up the front suspension when the rear suspension was already left loaded up & sending the whole machine in a frenzy wobble in a turn where the rider couldn't ride said wobbly wobble out & simply went of course into those foam cushions got thrown off and amazingly the bike started again like starting it normally. But yah Stay off the painted surfaces and you & the bike will finish the event and not look so amateur.
Just picked up a 2001 blue ZX12r and will be uploading videos on it to my channel soon :) 24 years later and the bike still feels really great to ride compared to modern bikes as well
I just got back from the 2024 8H. Crazy to see the difference! The crowd size in this video is so much larger compared to what it's like now. At least this year was bigger than 2023 so it's on an upswing. Probably not helped by the temperatures though! Crazy to see in this video that the temperature was 27 degrees. It was 36 or 37 for most of the day this year. Poor riders! Also, what a shitty title. 'That Japanese Guy', really?
If these bikes had the later safety measure Front brake Bumper cover Miguel would have never fallen down because his brake wouldn't have locked up throwing him & the bike out of shape and down, back then no one smart enough came up with that on track safety feature. Not sure what discipline made the invention but it is one of the better ones for rider health.

i was there , brill i was 24 on a brand new kawasaki 750 turbo hiery around the track on open day , thankfully got around with out falling off like alot germans did on their cr1100r s lol
Best riders of all sports to ride all terrain in one race funny kawasaki has dominated in all races but the rm and yz are pretty dam fast with these riders
Steve Gervais did pretty well too as a privateer from Canada. Would have been nice to glimpse him more than once though. BS broadcasts still go on were networks or so called broadcast specialists think all the fans are cheering for just a few well known names.
First time I ever saw a Euro presentation video with music that DIDN'T make me gag. I agree, the colours are lame but this season is shaping up to be EPIC ! (and last season was great too).
