Aww sorry that you didn’t enjoy the sequel as much! I still haven’t seen it yet. Loved your VR and the way you used actual movie clips!Your selections for this tag were awesome. Your choice for the final prompt was particularly on point 👌🏼😂
Thanks so much for doing the tag! This was so fun and I freaking LOVED seeing the clips!! It’s so cool that you put them in 😍Tarot of the Vampires is so cinematic! I think a lot of the cards are based on movies and tv shows which is probably why I love it so muuuuuch!!!
Hey, Jason, Haven't seen you in so long. I lost contact with you but know how you love your Llewellyn Decks and particularly Everyday Witch. About a month and a half ago, I saw a new deck coming called The Good Fortune Tarot from Llewellyn and I think it's right up your alley. The illustrations even resemble Everyday Witch I think. Keep an eye out for them if you don't already have them and if you do, I look forward to your walkthrough and sharing your opinions.
Great questions and excellent answers! I'd like to know more about the history, just for my own knowledge. I have questioned whether or not I feel okay about using them, given some religious cards, like Judgement and the Devil. I guess they're just symbolic anyway. I'm sure that's a major reason why I have just used Oracle cards for a long time, but now I'm giving Tarot another chance for some variety. / 💕 I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you, and I hope everything is good with you! 💕
Hey there! Thanks for watching and sharing. I know what you mean. I absolutely think they’re just symbolic. It’s also about how you use the cards. It’s about intention. 🧡 thanks for commenting and I hope to see you around. I’m doing fine here - been busy but got some videos coming out. Hope you enjoy
@@TarotbythePines Great! I look forward to more of your videos. You make it seem like you're having a chat with friends, and that's what makes them so nice and genuine. 💙
This looks like a fun, whimsical deck - I love it! It really helps that you explained the meanings one at a time. I have heard good things about this deck, but yes, one issue is lack of diversity. I will put this one and the oracle deck on my wish list. Thank you for sharing why this one's your favorite. 💜💚🖤
@@TarotbythePines Eventually, yes! I just ordered 2 more Oracle decks of a "darker" nature: the Urban Crow and Anne Stokes Gothic Oracle. Something for Halloween on the way! 🐦⬛🎃🖤 I have to practice restraint in purchasing any more for the rest of the year! 😬
This was very fun. I used my grunge rock deck. The page of swords stabbed the devil because the page had a bad childhood. Then she tried framing the queen of swords for the murder. Lol. The devil had it coming😂 lol
Hey there! I LOVE doing this activity every year. It reminds me of the game Clue which is my favorite board game. Your cards/interpretation was funny! 😄
I love all 3 of your animal decks! Your other ones are so humorous and unique. I have 3 of Steven Farmer's decks: Power Animal Oracle, Messages from Your Spirit Animal Guides, and Messages from the Spirits of Nature. I like how his decks are straight-forward and always seem to work for me. I don't think they're the "fluffy" sort of cards. If you were a person going through a phase of serious depression, you might appreciate the "lighter" messages of the Oracle decks. They have helped me a lot. I enjoyed this video very much, though. Thanks!
@@Cynthia.B hey I hope you’re doing good. Thank you for watching and sharing! I didn’t even think of it like that so thank you for that. I’ll have to look up those oracles 🧡
A really adorable and happy deck. I ordered the tin and it's wonderful and then I wanted the book and larger deck too so I ordered it as well. Every card makes me smile and I love the black kitty that appears on every card. Thanks for the look and I love hearing other people's opinion on decks I have purchased.🎃🧡😻I'm going to use it all year.
That makes my heart flutter! I’m glad you have both versions. I have so many fond memories of learning tarot with this deck. I’m so looking forward to the fall season 🧡 thanks for sharing
OMG!! Everything about this video is chefs kiss 🤌 I'm obsessed with your deck collection! So many beauties! I also love the way you ranked the genres AND showed your movie collection ❤️ just absolutely amazing!! Thanks so much for picking up this tag 🐱
I went in expecting not to like it at all and i was so pleasantly surprised at how much i liked it. Other than the actual reading scene i did not enjoy that lol. I wanted them to do more research and be a little more accurate with the signs.
OoOoo the reading scene could have been more accurate? I know barely anything about the signs so it impressed me haha! I’m glad you walked away enjoying it. It’s not bad movie - it just could have been executed better. Thanks for sharing!
Great video! Loved your choices of movies and decks! Enjoyed hearing your interpretations of the prompts and why you matched each deck! Tarot of Oneness as Western/Adventure suprised me but I love that choice! You've Got Mail is SOO good! 🥰
Really enjoyed this in depth discussion of these two cards and seeing them represented in several decks. Looking forward to your cirque du tarot review video ❤️
❤ I absolutely loved your long chatty video going card by card into why you love the deck. I hope to see more card by card deck chatty deck flip throughs with you!!!
Does the technique that she used to read the cards is real? Cuz if it is I wanna learn how to read them like that. And I wanna know the name of it if someone knows...
Thank you and thanks for watching. Let me know when you watch it. They should have had a deck made when the movie came out but I’m sure it was expensive. 🧡
Thanks for the review. I’ll likely skip this one, cuz I’m a chicken. However, I’m really glad to hear it was well treated. 😊 I’ll admit that I was a bit worried that we would be hiding from the pitch forks after this one but looks like they kept it respectful. Whew!
I appreciate you watching! The movie does respect the art of tarot and honestly not many people have seen it so don’t worry about the pitchforks haha! Maybe it’ll get a boost around Halloween 🧡
Wow, I'm impressed by your knowledge of the horror film genre #respect. I won't see this movie but not because of the acting or cinematography or anything related to a "movie." It's because, as you know, we live in some pretty weird times -- lots of emphasis on Christianity and a basic intolerance and purposeful ignorance of other belief systems, whether that's Buddhist or Muslim or pagan. So I don't want to see tarot portrayed in a way that I feel feeds into that. But that's just me. I'm glad you enjoyed it more than you thought were going to.
I appreciate you watching and sharing! Honestly, the creators of the movie seem to respect tarot from what I saw in the film (minus the goof on the ten of swords). But I completely understand, tarot is still a taboo thing. 🧡
Yeeeeeaaaahhhh… I don’t like the artwork enough to forgive the ball drop on the guidebook. I won’t be purchasing. I love that Evil Dead II was included (my favorite in the series) but I agree with the commenter who mentioned that they skipped Child’s Play! What a missed opportunity! I’m still looking for the *perfect* horror oracle… Thank you for reviewing!
Thanks for watching and sharing! Although not horror but The Halloween Oracle by Stacey Demarco is pretty good. If you’re looking for a horror tarot, you may want to try Todd Alcott’s Horror Tarot which I just acquired. Will do a review on that soon. 🧡
@@TarotbythePinesyes, I have Todd Alcott’s Horror Tarot and Pulp Tarot-ADORE them both!! 😍😍 Just looking for a good oracle to pair them with… it’s a never ending obsession, I’m discovering 😅😆
I really enjoyed this, Jason! I have been using oracles a lot more and have grown a stronger appreciation for them, but I'm definitely *way* more selective about which ones I buy. I also have to make a more concerted effort to incorporate them into my my daily draws and readings.
I tend to rely on tarot, and normally only buy oracle decks for the art. Even so, I resisted buying Danielle Noel's beautiful Ocean Dreams oracle because too many of the cards seemed to have the same meanings. Oracle decks are often really affirmation decks, and that's not what I need (though the Personal Power Oracle by Deja Drewit is very empowering, for women). The only oracle deck I use is the Urban Crow, which for some reason speaks to me more than the same artist's (MJ Cullinane) Crow Tarot does.
Hey thanks for watching and sharing. I agree - oracle cards are more affirmation which I don’t necessarily need at this time haha. They are more like friends but when it comes to tarot, they are best friends that tell it like it is. 🧡
Nice seeing you back 😄 Your oracle collection is so unique and fun, thank you for sharing. I tell myself I'm not an oracle person and yet i have more oracle than tarot and I will pull a oracle everyday but only get tarot out if I need it, or someone ask for a reading 😄 I do get annoyed by oracles that are just affirmations and love and light 🤢 there have to be some action, depth and grit to them for them to become one i reach for daily.
Interesting that you have more oracle than tarot. Oracle decks tend to shed more affirmations at me than I would like. I wonder if I try pulling an oracle card daily it will help my relationship with them 🤣 thanks for watching
You have a fun oracle collection! I don’t have a lot of oracle decks compared to tarot decks because I find them less useful. Too fluffy, too New Age-y, too many repetitive themes. Love your t-shirt! 💚
Hey thanks for watching! And thank you. I tend to be picky 🤣 and I highly agree - a lot of oracle decks are super fluffy with overlapping themes. Got to love tarot 😉
Thank you for sharing, Jason. Just fyi, the symbols at the top of the Animal Spirit Oracle cards represent the elements of water, earth, air, and fire. I have two oracle decks you might like: Prairie Majesty Oracle by Kara Simons and Amy Putney Koenig (Hay House) and -- I know how much you love Samhain -- The Haunted Manor Oracle by Sirian Shadow (Etsy).
Heyyyy thanks for watching. Clearly I haven’t used the wild unknown deck much🤣thanks for letting me know. I’ll definitely look at those decks 👀 hope all is well 🧡
I've always liked the Three of Swords - Dark Mansion's is my favourite, because it looks like Victorian mourning jewellery, which often incorporated some of the deceased's hair. And although the deck is mainly inspired by Tim Burton, the Eight of Wands really reminds me of the anime Kiki's Delivery Service, which is about a young witch trying to find her role in life 😃
I love that three of swords in the Light Seers. It’s also one of my favorites ever. Great video thanks for sharing some of the out of the box representations 😊
Just got myself this deck and I love your review. My only disappointment with this deck is also that there is very little ethnic diversity. It would have been really easy to vary the skin colour of the witches, shame, but otherwise a lovely deck I'm really looking forward to using
I agree that the deck would have been perfect if it should more diversity and inclusion. The oracle deck did correct this but still. I would LOVE a redo of this deck. It’s my favorite. I’m glad you got it and I hope it treats you well 🧡 thanks for watching and sharing
