We love riding our ebikes and we live in South Texas, by Brownsville. We want to share our rides and adventuress with our youtube followers and also create other travel vlogs as well. We both ride Aventon Level 2 bikes. Doug has a large in the Himalayan color and I have a Small/Medium in the Polar color. The ebike has really helped Doug because he has had both knees replaced and one hip replaced. This bike has given him the freedom to ride again! Me? I'm just along for the ride with my baby!
@@GarysE-BikeAdventures yea Doug got mixed up riding his bike!! And my memory is xeap so I think I’m gona have to start writing stuff down! Of course if it’s a cool bike, you will certainly need it up!!! :)
ebikes that can be unlocked will go to 28mph. i unlocked my 1st bike. but i really dont want to go that fast on a bike. my other bikes im not unlocking...
thanks! Yes it is pretty dead over here now but that’s normal. We don’t get over here often but we are returning to shoot the street view soon! :) Thanks for the comment!!! 😊
oh wow that’s awesome! We are going to do the street view ride pretty soon. Was just too much to shoot in one video. Thanks for watching and the comment!!
Thanks for the video that looked like a beautiful trail! I primarily use my bike for commuting to and from work, but I want to take more trips on my Level 2 just for pleasure and to experience some of the great bike trails in my area of Ocala, FL. Since my last comment I had my rear brakes done and a tune up. I was glad that I only needed back breaks because it saved me about $100. My bike shop did an amazing job and the tune up makes it feel like a brand-new bike!
Hey that's great! Yes just being able to explore new areas, neighborhood and trails is a great feeling. We enjoyed the weather first and foremost! LOL Florida is beautiful too!! Glad to hear you have an awesome bikeshop too!
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it. I recently got caught in heavy rain two days in a row with my Level 2 and unfortunately, my brakes got contaminated, I have to replace mt pads and rotors and it will cost me $300.
@@EbikeTrek life took over for a little bit. Nothing really tragic, but it did draw away from the videos. I did shoot a couple of videos that I should be uploading in the next week or so. Hopefully we will be started back on our schedule then. Thanks for asking. We do appreciate it.
@@southernebiking aw great hearing that things are okay. Yea life always has little surprises sometimes! :) I will put up out new videos once we return from vacation, just been doing some shorts until then.
@@GarysE-BikeAdventures oh yes we are already!! Will be posting videos soon!! So much riding to do up here and all these lovely bike paths and great weather!
That brand just reached out to me to review a bike but they wanted me to send them the video so they could OK it before I published it. I don’t do that. I did it once will never do it again.
@@GarysE-BikeAdventures oh wow really? Yea, good for you, don’t blame you. We were hoping to see who was riding this bike so we could give them our card and ask how they liked the bike but maybe next time we go to the gym we may discover who it is! lol
indeed! he really likes it and he also ran track like his mommy did! We are STL Cardinal fans and we are trying to make a cardinal outta him one day!! lol
Hey what part if central IL are you from? Doug is from Carlinville born and raised. He wonders if perhaps he knows you. Thanks for your comments and subscribing! :)
@@EbikeTrek Hey this is Doug . I remember when I was in high school we thought we were pretty good one year and Lamphier came down in the sectional and smoked us .. we could never compete with the Springfield schools . I remember when the old Fietshen High School met us in the regionals and we got beat by 40 points .. that's going back to 1969 or so . I do remember Dave Robisch who played for Spirngfield High and later played for Kansas and had a decent NBA career .
@@EbikeTrek Graduated from Lanphier in ‘65. Taught there from 70-2006. Then volunteered there, until the pandemic. Had some great players , some became pros.
Houses down here start around 300K. The condos where we live, the association fee is $270. There are other condos in this town as well but not sure what theirs cost. Condos cost around $150K and below. Doug provided me with all this info. Also if you go to Zillo, the zip code is 78575 so you can see what's being listed and how much. Right now doug is listening to Taking London, the co-author does the Killing books with Bill O'Reilly.
Yes probably so! Would be nice to try one out but like I said, no bike shops down here selling them and we haven't really found a lot of other ebikers but that may change. We may find a trike when we visit our daughter and her family is MN next month!
Thanks Gary. I’m not done yet on the tools. I use to work on VW when i was younger but ever since I had cataract surgery I just can’t see up close. It’s terrible getting old
Nice green trail. Everyone like grandkid trike videos. My mom grew up in Mexico , Mo. Aunt still lives there. Weather good in Midwest for a Katy trail ride. Extra hydration helps prevent weak spells.
Oh wow Mexico, Missouri! I have relatives there still!! :) Yes Doug was hydrated but we should have started earlier in the day because it heated up quickly! All ended well however. We are going back up there again before the end of the year but will start at Rosevelt Park this time. Thanks for watching and your comment! :)
