Welcome to GA Trains and Ships. I film family friendly videos of trains, events, and ships on Savannah river street. Please like and subscribe to my channel
Long time (not native)resident of Savannah and Maritime employed. Nice but you need a new - different vantage point. How about a boat ride filming the ships as they approach you in the river? This demonstrates their sheer size for sure!
In 1970 I worked at an auto parts warehouse on River Street, That building is long gone. I think there is a hotel there now. When we opened the doors on Saturday morning the first order of business was clearing the sleeping drunks off the loading dock. A biker bar was next door. One of the great things about the location was sitting on the loading dock at lunch and watching the ships go by. It appears they've cleaned the area up a bit.
I visited Savannah during 1998 and strolled along Savannah River and took a lazy cruise to enjoy the view. Thank You for uploading and its linked to my fond memory of Savannah River
that has to be some of the best train spotting in the world with such a close view even though i also love seeing the ships in teh open entering or leaving the port also,. Is there a good lighthouse anywhere close
Thanks for watching. The Savannah lighthouse is further out of the harbor but I plan on filming the car haulers close to st simons lighthouse so stay tuned
The Tugela RoRo ship has my car on it bound for Australia. Thanks for this interesting video, and watching the force of the hurricane I can see why they moved the ships back out to sea. A few days delay might be upsetting to some, it's better than damaging the cargo, losing the ships and the crews lives as well as the ecological disaster of one of these going down.
This is a redo of Maersk Columbus I thought I was a bit sloppy on editing the one before. I hope this is better quality. What do y’all think? If you enjoy please subscribe and thanks for watching
Very cool man!! Can you please tell me how to get here from 95? I'm moving to Florida and will be coming that way soon! Would love to stop there...Rob. New Sub for ya!!!
Thank you so much for subscribing. Downtown Savannah is at the end of I16. Just take I16 east off I95. I use vesselfinder.com to track ships coming into port. Again thank you for watching and subscribing
