I am sorry, I just had to share the fact that that music was so distracting. I was straining, super hard just to hear the words of the story which I was interested in hearing so just a little bit of advice, tone down the music and it didn’t really jive the story so I mean, just let me know .
Quite evil! Seems early oregon had psycho phenoms on the pioneer tooting.. Gee, name some oregon flavors. Error Flynn fly into coosbay cuz no roads. Marshfield up rising. Charleston 1970 and meth shipping. Finley national wildlife national monument has a double widow. Betcha it was murder ! 2 hubands.. In corvallis or marys ville the church was involved in sex scandal! In 1850s .. weird. The beides of Christ viseo.. Can you make movies.. stiletz.. just quick 7 minutes x 3 topics .. addhd

The education system was 2rd worst and the mills shut down we ate all the fish and the 1980 kids did not know how to fill in a resume in colorado. And they forgo Bibles to work
Sorry, but I call b.s. on the entire premise of this story. First off, three million dollars in 1848 would be equivalent to over 115 BILLION today - an utter fantasy for a Catholic church in Mexico to possess, then or now. And secondly, why in the world would a ship carrying that much treasure head NORTH, into the wilderness and probable Protestant territory (with scant civilization at all), when they could have quite easily turned South a shorter distance into Spanish-speaking, and Catholic, Central or South America? It makes no sense whatsoever. Reply
Great mystery story I subscribe thank you! Mr Chandler. Holy smokes Batman that treasure could be still buried but I think a lot of it was dug up and never reported to the media. The loot of empire takes its blood toll!
JD Chandler, why do you keep showing pictures of native peoples with high peak snow mountains in the background? You know very well there are no mountains like that anywhere near Coos Bay.....lol
This is probably the worst “documentary” that I have ever seen. I don’t even know if you could call this a documentary. Cluttered , confusing, and read aloud in a strange rhythmic pace.
JD passed away a year ago, John, in May of 2021, at the age of 60. You're talking to a dead man. Wow, what a complete lowlife you are. This documentary has over 2,400 views. Of all of JD's films, this is the best and most popular one. I know if JD could see your comment, he'd laugh, but thankfully, he's flying free now. Also, JD was an incredible speaker, reader and I love the sound of his musical voice. You must be a really unhappy person...
@@The-Portland-Daily-Blink hey Theresa. I’m sorry to hear about JDs passing . That is truly unfortunate . My comment does not reflect my feelings towards him as a person and if I have offended you or anyone with my opinion , for that I apologize. With that being said Theresa, as you know RU-vid is, after all, a social network. And allowing users to comment , be it negative or positive , helps to foster a community on here . I’ll admit the comment section of most videos on RU-vid are a hotbed of juvenile, aggressive, misspelt, sexist , homophobic hate speech. Which I’m not saying I support because I do not. But I do believe that even a comment like mine , which on the surface may sting a bit , but it also gives you the criticism you can use to improve. A negative comment may not be constructive by most standards , but it certainly conveys the apparent issues of the content which the creator may honestly want to look into. The freedom to exchange opinions, share ideas or drop an occasional “LOL” is the beauty of a world which speech is protected.
@@theonlysurfdog If this is the "worst documentary" you've ever seen, Dog, then I'm going to make a giant leap and presume you have a very limited exposure to documentaries. You're right, this is a place were we can exchange opinions, so I hope you don't mind if when I say that you don't come across as particularly bright, intellectually, when you make negative comments about a dead man's work. You didn't know JD, and were not his friend. Your loss. Be well. :)
Thank you JD for making a really stellar book trailer for my book of poetry...Blue Reverie comes highly recommended, with an Introduction written by well-known Portland poet, Dan Raphael, and blurbs by writers Margaret Malone, Sean Davis and JD Chandler. www.amazon.com/Blue-Reverie-Smoke-Collected-2001-2016/dp/0692674039/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1459744837&sr=8-2&keywords=theresa+griffin+kennedy

kenrg Some of these pictures are from your visit, Ken. But I have learned so much more about the cemetery since you were here. I had only just discovered it when we went. You should come and check it out again.
