Hi. I purchased a chrome version and even though the fit & finish is a bit rough; seems well built. However, I’ve been looking for a spare barrel and recoil assembly and cannot find anywhere. Canik will not sell me a barrel (they say they have them but only for warranty). I’ve looked at every other after market supplier I can find and nothing. Any advice on where to find a spare barrel? Thank you…
I appreciate a larger grip Hogue is my go to grip. I also appreciate the stock grips provided as they (S&W) are attempting to minimize carry obstacles. With that all said, in this instance, I’ve maintained the integrity of the original setup. If I chose to shoot more than basic refresher, then definitely upgrade it..
Great informational video. I have the tx-22 compact, the issue I've been having is the mag throwing a loaded bullet up and getting stove piped. 8 haven't takin it out since I cleaned and polished it so I'll see I guess
Yeah, I bought their best daggers slide and barrel combo. There’s so much cerakote on it you couldn’t get the barrel out of lock up the dovetail for the rear sight was so big, not one sight I had would stay in there without falling on the floor when you turn the gun sideways that was a factory glock site there a Dagger site, Trijicon sites, and one other brand. They all slid right through and fell on the floor, it was a complete disaster. I don’t know how it made it out of the warehouse I wrote down everything that was wrong with it. I tried calling and talking to management or somebody in production to let them know that this thing actually made it out of the warehouse and you cannot get past their customer service representatives, which I actually know absolutely nothing about anything that goes on in the business, they can just process and return so I got my RMA. I wrote on my return to replace it and they just refunded me at that point I ordered a sliding barrel from Clint Corbin, and it was absolutely flawless. Runs like a swiss watch. It is the only piece of junk I ever received from PSA and the last thing I ordered from them very sad
Great informative video! Thank you. Did you have to do any specific custom adjustments to be able to fit that magpul stock + folding attachment onto it? I’m trying to do the exact same set up on mine as you have on yours and discovered the stock is a commercial diameter instead of milspec so thinking I may have to do some extra work to make it happen than i had originally anticipated…
@@highcaliberhaymaker wow really? Do you think you’d be able to make a video on how you did it? No worries if not, just thought I’d ask. either way take care! 👍🏽
Picking mine up on Tuesday!! Can’t wait. I’ve been trying to decide on a truck gun and this is it. Hopefully S&W will offer this in 40 or 45acp in the near future. FJB!!!
just purchased one today at academy and had a promo rebate for 3 extra mags. iv'e never purchased a taurus product but have heard good things on the tx22.i'm a ruger 22 fan but i'll see after this weekend and i am really curious as to how this performs.i'm going low to high quality ammunition to see what it will eat and likes.
Thank you. I just ordered one. Should be here in a week. Looking forward to taking it to the range. I appreciate the education. How much was the optic if you can tell us ? Thanks again.
You didn't screw your stock down enough allowing the bolt stop to drive further into weapon. That's why your charging lever went to far back and got bent. I made the same mistake.
I just ordered one in June 2024 and trying to figure out which red dot I want to use. I have the regular size but it’s not red dot compatible. Love mine and can’t wait to get the Taurus compact pistol. Thanks, great video.
Excellent detail on the takedown section. I'm going to link to this video for my own review of this rifle coming up in a few weeks. For your accuracy section you should explain to the viewers that the right set of targets were for checking your zero and the left was for groups? Also were you shooting off hand, rested on a bag, or on a rifle rest?
Excellent review! Funny you mention Pampered Chef. I know the founders, grew up with their kids and worked there many years ago. I won't tell, but you are in big trouble now! LOL
Definite put links to mods in your videos. Couldnt find the folding stock and I found the model number for the optic in the comments, but its 3-4 times the cost you listed for. Obviously prices change over time, but I don't think they have gone that high for those parts. Would love to know the folding stock part number. Nice video btw.
Is there anywhere that shows how to take the trigger apart. My trigger socket spring fell out and I believe that is the problem with mine not firing but only problem I have is not knowing how to take the trigger out
Always an honest opinion. Great content. I only use the Pilgrim Ammunition for self defense. I shoot it at the range often to make sure my gun runs it consistent. And it does .
The original BG38 grip is a bogus design. For anyone with medium/thick/larger hands it is a terrible grip since your hands feel loose when trying to grip it, and I use the word "grip" loosely (pun intended). Shooting it is very inaccurate with not being able to grip it properly. This Hogue grip works for a solid accurate grip and this video really helped to in stall it.
I can’t seem to find a video on how to get the feed ram out for polishing. I’m sure I could figure it out. I just wanna see someone do it first, but nobody does it. Everyone just does a regular field disassembly.
