Something that I omitted in my first comment about soaking wood chips I am referring to using a gas grill with smoker box Or smoker pouch this is when you have to be careful of soaking the wood chips . A rule of thumb don’t soak your wood chips.👍
It is the great debate in the grilling world, soak wood chips or dry wood chips for the grill. Let me put a fine point on that. if you are going to grill steak or some burgers on direct heat which is usually how it’s grilled and you want to add some smoke flavor to it . if you soak your wood chips first by the time the water burns off as steam you added zero smoke and your food will be done . all you would have done is add smelly steam to your food. Don’t soak wood chips for a short grilling time. Depending on the temperature of your grill, it takes about 15 minutes to change steam in to smoke. Any comments 🙀
The best BBQ I have ever owned. The stainless steel grill cleans easily, but the griddle portion of my 3000 series 4 burner system needs modification. The griddle warped into a dish shape making it difficult use so I replaced it with a cast iron griddle from Wallmart. Works like a charm now.
*This traeger grill is superior to them. Heavier gauge steel and constructed better.>>>**t.co/LTEiLTBnY9** I like the storage underneath to store my pellets. Would definitely recommend this product.*
That is a great video. I will be using the same type device for my beer can chicken. I don't drink so I will be using water and seasoning in mine. Is is necessary to leave the skin on the chicken? The skin usually doesn't get crispy when I smoke a chicken so I was wondering how it would so without the skin. Thanks for any feedback.
