Housing Industry Association (HIA) is the official body of Australia’s home building industry.
As the only national industry association for Australian building professionals, we represent the interests of the housing industry at regional and national levels. Our extensive membership program supports residential builders, trade contractors, developers, design professionals, kitchen and bathroom specialists, manufacturers and suppliers. We have been supporting the Australian home building industry for more than 60 years.
I saw your Housing Industry Association channel, your channel content is very good. But video views are not good. Your channel has some issues due to which your videos are not getting good views. The main problem is SEO.
Mate, your just ramble on for 1 and half minutes and basically said nothing, you should be a politician, more info would be great. Anyone who holds a trade licence should be able to get the new updates but I never see any emails about. You probably want money? That's the problem with the new rules no one knows, went to a master builders night and they didn't know and they wrote some of it, go and figure.
If you build a brick veneer typical aussie house you have a shit house regardless of how nice it looks. This type of material is night and day compared to a brick house.
This is a pathetic money grab from the Victorian Government. Registration for insulation, landscaping, plastering? really? This is going to force house prices all the way up, and make the barrier of entry for someone coming from a different field or a migrant forced to work for minimum wage or illegally for cash. So let me get this straight, you have a registered builder which has gone through the whole process of application, experience. All work is signed off by a building surveyor, massive building insurance, permits etc and you're STILL required to have your own personal registration to do the most basic jobs in construction? It's sad and going to make the building industry more expensive, slow, inefficient and is going to make the housing shortage worse in Victoria.
Rigged bullshit awards. You've lost a bunch of members over the shit that was pulled last night. How can a kitchen that wins best australian kitchen design of the year (nation wide) not win anything in freekn canberra! Are you shitting me??
I don't think 10 cubic metre per square metre is 10 ach per hour at 50 Pa. Let us say, we have 3 metres high ceiling, you got 3 cubic metre volum air, so the air change should be 10 cubic metre divided by 3, then you get 3.3 ACH.
Thanks for your interest Max. This seminar outlines the NCC changes and we were just citing and providing some information on the NCC requirements. For more information on these requirements, we recommend visiting the Australian Building Codes Board website here: www.abcb.gov.au/Resources/All-Resources?topics={D9C50C31-2F9C-4634-B8BA-D44955EC2DC0}.
I liked the sand dune concept that was mentioned on Grand Designs AUS. I really love this design though, wish I would win the lotto, I would build an earth covered version.
