Minimalism in society = minimal society. If all these people didn’t work, society would collapse. These rich celebrities have no fuckin clue what makes the world go round.
Covid forced me to early retirement at 39 years of age/my industry collapsed and it ain't ever coming back. I said fxck you in my mind to the industry that screwed me over (and the zero talent idiots in it who Ive had to endure for the last 2 decades) and after being patient for the last 5 years (without money coming in from a salary) I am currently making as much cash as I was in 2011. In 2025 I will be making as much as I was in 2017 and in 2026 I will be making probably double I was in 2019. I advise opening your own business with the goal of having people work for you and having them say "how high" when you say "Jump". I really hope this comment ages well.
Well how do you get to a point where you make enough to only work part time? The problem is it’s so expensive to live you have to work so much to survive. It’s not even about the luxurious stuff.
They never said to stop trying to get money. They're basically saying don't kill urself trying to make that little bit extra by working overtime or even 40 hr weeks just to buy a nicer car!
Y’all were close, it’s 2 weeks off per year but only 10 days technically. Also, most people only get 5 sick days off a year, equivalent of 1 work week. Total of 15 days off per year.
You cats need to stop being lazy and weak,it’s a blessing to have a job. Especially if it’s a good paying job. Im trying to get a job at waffle house, with 30 dollars to my name. Thats the other side they don’t want to tell you about. Being broke. Theres people who wish they were where some of y’all at. Maybe y’all haven’t struggled enough yet. You can live a good life without a Lamborghini. The people with that are miserable anyway, even through they lie and say they are not.
I remember watching this when it came out doing the bare minimum at a slow barbershop. Fast forward to today and I been in florida for a year as an owner of a 5 chair shop. Im a year or 2 from total freedom for my wife and me. Hopefully if my barbers stay positive and focused I can help them reach the next level and have shops of their own so they can have freedom too.
Lotta ego in this video lol. But I also can’t relate to much of it. I’m unionized. Vacation time based on time with the company , I’m at 6 PAID WEEKS. Then I have ‘sick time’ which we use for whatever. Only 8 hours a day. Can work whatever I want, it could be Monday and I decide to work 7-5 instead of 7-3, those two hours are overtime. For me, that equates out to $61 and some change per hour. Now don’t get me wrong. If I was on Joe or Ari’s spot where I have millions across multiple accounts, I’d have this same attitude too lol. Sadly it just doesn’t work like that. It there is a crazy amount of ego flowing in this clip. And idk why I just feel like ego’s are for young teenagers trying to impress or ‘one up’ each other. IMO, no TRUE, REAL grown man has an ego. And that’s what everyone thinks of themselves - a real, grown, tough man. If you have an ego, you are not one of them.
I cant imagine Narayan Murthy CEO of Infosys 70 hrs a week, which is like working 14 hrs a day and then 3 hrs gone back and forth travelling to the office so thats a total of 17hrs and the rest is gone in sleep and that's if you get 7 hrs of sleep. And no family time.
All yall thinking being a business owner is better have no idea what you’re talking about. You work more, less vacation, no benefits, no vacation no retirement, until you make it, IF you make it. I recently gave up the right to my business, yes i make a bit less, so pay is similar, have 40 vacation days, health insurance, retirement plan and work alot less than i did when i was self employed. My stress and anxiety levels have gone down, i also work a hybrid schedule now too. 9-5s arent always bad, there are plenty of good companies out there
I’m so glad I chose to break free back in September of last year. I’ve been making a living as a musician, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. After years of factories and retail, it’s amazing to be my own man for once in my life. It can be done. I thank God for Rogan and his advice over the years.
all i see is two losers who got lucky and became famous and have never worked a day in their lives, dont let people tell you ur wasting ur life just because ur building a career and dedicate urself to ur work, Its how the everyday man provides for their family not everyone has a podcast where they sit down and talk shit and make a million dollars. Youll get that with these yuppie celebrities that have no idea what its like in the real world.
You do realize joe worked contruction and many other jobs on the come up sure some of it was luck but most people won’t take chances for success before you hate maybe look in the mirror
@@harleyparmentier7896he only worked construction for a month in summer. A lot of these influencers have won the lottery but Joe does have extremely good skills.
Yup if You don’t even know what sick days even are… It means your far away from real life for a while. They would play suïcide if they trade with the average man’s life today. They have a lavish life by talking ufc and podcasts… Most men work 40/50h shit jobs just to have a roof above their heads 😊🎉
Your average service worker provides more for society then these clowns who talk out their ass. Looking down on the lower classes because you make d%& jokes is crazy
Lazy people who call in sick when they just don’t want to go to work or are hungover make it harder for the rest of us and companies are forced to implement sick days.
They are not lazy they are miserable and drink to cope so they mess up. They want a position that is fulfilling and gives them purpose but they never found their purpose. In today's society you have to find it on your own help and community are dying because people are either successful and want to to use others like machines or they are just that - a machine. Life was harder in old times but at least you died feeling like the life you lived was real.
@@roninsoul9051 Nope, sorry not buying it. I’ve witnessed it first hand. This idea that corporations and governments are all evil and all working americas are good honest hard working victims is BS. There’s a lot of shitty people that do shitty work and take advantage of their co-workers and employers too.
9 to 5 thats a f***ing blessing. Im a quality engineer in Mexico i work from 8 to 7. My official schedule is 830 to 606. My manager and all the managers where I work at they work from around 730 to 9 pm. And we have japanese managers the f**ing live there nobody knows at what time they get in or out. You enter as early as you can and they are always there same at night Ive gotten to work until 10pm and the japanese managers are there. Thats a well paid enterprise tho. Im willing to risk some years of my life for the bread. But most of Latin american jobs have insane schedules
The rat race sucks when it's low to mid pay.. I know people making 300k/yr as an employee, and they go vacation multiple times a year.. Sounds all good to me. Not everyone needs to start some business
You're missing the whole point. I could make 150k/yr as a freelancer or business owner. The freedom this gives you is day and night compare to 9-5 under a boss.
@@lulzd9355he isn’t missing the point, if you work a nine to five and have 4-6 week vacation but with actually decent pay it’s okay, obviously being super rich freelancer or what not etc is good as well but some ppl prefer schedules
The whole thing is sick. I can only speak about life in an office (in the UK), but I would estimate that every interaction is dysfunctional in some way. Not only are we all wasting precious time, which cannot be replenished -- rendering the amount of time spent at work truly obscene -- you're constantly forced to lie about how "useful" or "interesting" an email or proposal or meeting is. If you lied this much outside of work, to people you love, people woild rightly consider you a sociopath. To compound matters, everyone seems to spend the entire week waiting for Friday and dreading Monday. They're vocal about it too, on Mondays, Wednesdays (halfway there people!), Thursdays (almost there folks), and Fridays (just hours to go!) This is not the way to create a happy or creative society.
Just what I needed to clarify because I'm about to launch a new brand and wanted to give some exposure to it. Perfectly on point. Thanks! PS: to everybody reading the comments, please make sure that the influencer you decide to do business with has a following that really suits your brand!
After 15 years devoted to a company, my mother was fired via registered letter for abusing her sick days. She was battling cancer. Surgery then chemo and radiation. Isn't the corporate world just wonderful.
Had a job tell me I couldn’t attend my sisters funeral due to us being slammed that week I told my boss to go fuck himself right there.they called me 1 week later BEGGING ME to come back to my forklift position told him to fuck himself twice😂
People just want STUFF, your trapped dude. Get out of your debt, get out of that expensive fucking lease and move to the ghetto. Yes I’m being serious I’ve met some of the most nice people in the ghetto and we save money by living there. Not everyone in the hood is broke
