The area that he scraped appears to have a galvanized finish on it.... If that's the case, special primer is needed to adhere to that galvanized surface... regular primer won't cut it... It will let go like this black paint is doing... It is a chemical reaction between the galvanization and normal paint... Get the paint off and wipe it all down with mineral spirits or paint thinner.... Galvite metal primer is specifically designed for galvanized metal.. apply as directed and allow to dry... just about any paint can go over that primer. It isn't cheap, but it's a good product.
@@1956tojo yaya, the regular car primer is not ideal. Will try to find the proper marine primer . The car primer is sticking on the body but my cheap regular spray paint after few trip in the salt water, the paint surface is like having rough skin. I will spray with marine paint next time if i can find the paint. Tq for your advise😁
Very comfartable . It give your back support while boating and fishing. Without the chair with thick cushion, your buttock will absorb every impact from the alumium board /plank, usually after a day of fishing/boating, my back is sore

@@BassBashin i didnt know the parts number, i just go to the yamaha parts shop to buy the cable. You tell them you need to replace your yamaha 15hp throttle cable, there are 2 different lenght cable, you must buy the longer one. Oh ya ......... Later i go measure the right lenght for the cable and update here...
None of these issues are a reason to not buy this motor. Every one of those issues are general maintenance issues. Per your video the biggest issue you had was the paint, what happened was electrolysis. These motors do not come with sacrificial anodes from the factory, you need to add your own. The pattern and type of chipping you had in the paint was classic elecrtolysis. Buy some Tohatsu anodes and install them to prevent this issue. The exact same thing will happen to a $10,000 motor if you do not have sacrificial anodes, especially in salt water. If you repaint and do not install anodes, you will have the same issue again. You should always grease all your cables and bolts exposed to the water in any marine engine to prevent these issues. Hangkai saves on cost by not pre-greasing all these areas before shipping, they expect you to do it. And the fuel filter cracking isn't really an issue since you should replace those every year anyway.
@@a23b23 it is all depand on your boat. On my pitch9" best when i am boating and fishing with a passenger, pitch 10" is my choice for everyday boating and fishing, pitch 11" best when i am doing boating only without other fishing gears.
I rinse mine down really good w fresh water really good, then wipe down with a rag. Flush it really good and wash everything really good. Also spray EVERYTHING down with corrosion inhibitor it helps cut down corrosion.

@@derpyturtle2660 you just need to squeeze the primer ball until tight at the initial start up, after the engine started, you dont have to squeeze the ball again otherwise the engine will stall/ overfuel
@@derpyturtle2660 if you need to contantly squeeze the ball after the engine has started (low fuel intake), you need to check whether any part of hose is banded and make sure the vent valve of the fuel tank is open and working properly.
May be you need to slightly open the vent of the fuel tank? If the fuel tank vent is closed tight, no air can get in to the fuel tank when fuel is extracted from the fuel tank, and this creates a pressure to prevent fuel from going out smoothly.
@@captainjayc9217 the problem is the water hole blocked by the bee/wasp "soil". I always store my outboard outside my house where there are alway bees/wasp make hives with soil, so the lesson learned is ... Cover the outboard top or store the outboard inside house .
Bagi pendapat saya lah, harga engine ni memang best untuk bajet saya, saya bukan guna engine ni setiap hari so saya tak pasti ia akan bertahan atau tidak kalau heavy use setiap hari. I dont know anything about your boat bro, but i believed the outboard work but the travel speed might be slow(i am just guessing), maybe you need to change a lower pitch propeller for the outboard
Tried everything, this was the tutorial that worked for me! Can't just start it on idle, has to be throttled a little bit, then slowly decrease it to idle after it starts for a few seconds. Push the choke closed after a few seconds of it running and it should be good!

@@scottgoodson5132 this is not a bad engine (beside the paint). The parts are way cheaper to by the hangkai original instead of yamaha parts. But if you have no choice to acquire the original cheap hangkai parts, you can always use yamaha parts , most of the parts are equivalent beside the conrod( the holes diameter is smallerfor hangkai compare to yamaha)

Itu hydrofoil yang saya diy sendiri, saya ada video diy hydrofoil dalam channel saya. Ini fungsi hydrofoil boleh menolong boat "plane" ,tambah stability.
I applaud your effort, but that paint won’t really hold up, you really need to use a zinc marine primer, not stuff from the auto shop. Also you should have wiped down with acetone before spraying to get rid of oils, looking at where the paint came off I’m guessing the raw metal was not correctly prepped at the factory. Kita pancing dalam boat memang ok, asal jangan main air di tepi sungai. Buaya di sarawak memang terlampau banyak dah, setiap kali saya troling di sungai pasti akan tengok buaya😅
