Just a friendly tip, I'd cover the elctrolytics capacitors with Kapton tape when using hot air so close. You can see in the video, their heat shrink wrap shrinks which shows they got too hot! 😊

I am trying to understand why the paper is needed? Would just replacing the lcd screen with the adhesive one like you did be enough? Or is the paper used to just told the screen in place along with the adhesive?

Nice fix! But I think the root cause of this issue is the two tiny screws holding the circuit board in place coming loose. Very easy to check and fasten when you open the back cover. If you make sure to fasten these two, you don’t even need to add anything in between.

Don't you need an insulation between the coil and the metal tube. Mine had something there but it disintegrated when I took it out. I think it's called a mich tube.
