I sold my light phone 2 about two weeks cause I had pre-ordered the LP3. I thought I could use the Cat S22 flip phone but after two weeks I noticed my old smartphone habits coming back so I went on reddit today and bought another one got a great deal. So happy to be getting it back..life is just better with the Light phone
I am and have already pre-ordered it. For those that are curious about it I'm encouraging them to pre-order as well for the special pricing. I don't think the device is worth $799 when you are getting nearly everything with the still stellar LP2 at $299. But for the current $499 pricing I think it's right on the edge of being a fair price for everything it offers. However, I never support purchasing a device based on what it's promised to be rather than what it currently is. Many hardware pieces of the LP3 are included to future proof the device for potential tools down the road but will not be there day 1. I hope potential buyers are aware of this and that things like a digital wallet might be years down the line. Thanks for watching and commenting! Have a great one.
Light Phone........ OK .............. I love the idea, but here's the problem, ......... I monitor a security system 24 house a day. I "Must" have that app. I am in daily contact with people in Wales, Scotland, New Zealand and El Salvador. I "Must" have that app. Until I can load these esential apps I will have the need to stay with a Smart Phone. I would sincerely like to have a Light Phone, but at the moment they will not fulfill my basic requiements. I have two apps that are a requirement. If I could load them I could go Light Phone in a minute.
Hi there! Thanks for your comment and pushback on my remarks about "so and so app being needed." I apologize for taking a mocking tone as I do underestimate the value that alternative messaging services bring for international communication. So, thank you again :) Two options come to mind at the top of my head...if you are an android user you could look into installing GrapheneOS on your device. It only officially supports Pixel phones but I think I've read reports that newer Samsung/OnePlus devices have successfully installed it. Graphene offers a more private and quiet version of android while still allowing apps to be downloaded via a sandboxed version of the Play Store. Alternatively - It's certainly a little cumbersome - but I carry an iPad mini on me in a little carry bag whenever I need specialized internet access beyond the tools that Light provides. Hopefully they will be able to natively integrate those communication apps into the LP2/3 somehow in the future. Thank you again for your time! PS - Great looking bike!

Completely right! For a solid hour before finally recording I was messing around with different ways to try and position the phone where it would look and feel more natural in talking to the audience. But, all of the angles were unflattering and still covered up the screen too much to be plausible. If I decide to do future videos I'll look into some time of teleprompting system or try to get more comfortable with talking from bullet points rather than a script. Excellent video! I wish I never figured out that I could sim swap between my LP2 and iPhone. More often than not I find myself with my sim in my iPhone 😅. I really need to get a boox Palma for my work and sell my iPhone

I think that is where my fascination with tech started. I’ve been watching the Lite phone since the first one was released. They announced the Lite phone 3. Have you seen it? Yes, I am thrilled about the Light Phone 3 and have already pre-ordered it. From what I've read about it I think it's a fantastic on-ramp for those that haven't yet used a Light device or been put off by the frustrations of using the e-ink on the 2. The battery is twice the size, the screen will be more responsive, the chipset is faster (and likely more efficient) and a wider band support means clearer calls and less battery drain when trying to find a strong connection. In general, it seems like they have created a perfect balance between necessary tools in today's age while also making the device more pleasurable to use/comparable to traditional smartphones. I'll be happy to record a specific video on the benefits of the Light phone 3 vs the 2. Thanks for the idea and hope you have a great day!
@@nickgliha557there is a interview with the light team about the light phone 3 on jose briones youtube channel he has always got interviews with them sence the light phone 1 its an hour plus video where they show off light phone 3 and deep dive on it.
