Came third in the Sunday Warm Up for $52,000 a few years ago. I the proceeded to play a Russian heads up for $50k on 200/400 on stars. Had 99 on Q92, check raised all in on the flop got snapped by QQ and closed my laptop and went to bed.
Blew 2 signing bonuses for 85K on MTTs and 40/80 limit then got 5 ladies on my birthday right after breaking up with my gf then went to the casino to play craps on shrooms and kept hitting the hi lo and the yo won all the pink $500 chips for over 100K the whole crowd was cheering loud then they made me switch tables and took all my money 😢
This 1 time 1 went outside of my 300 buy in bankroll and play 1 tourney which would have amounted to a 150 buy in bank roll. I lost , im still not over it. Biggest punt ever
how do you ever cal ace 10 in that last pot , its not that he ever gona bluf their , best result was he had a sick draw but i dont see him playing hes draw like that ,+ in my opinion you find way better spots with your skills so that cal off was way to bad
Great play and some crazy nice bluffs. I fully understand how you called the A10 hand, I think pocket 8's should shove there pre-flop on the BB so you dismiss that hand. Congrats on the great results as of late!
I'm 450k net profit and not playing 10k tournaments highest was 3k but normaly in these spots even JT, KT and KJ of H would just call in this spot. 13 Player left he has many BB the most player don't have the balls. He was out of the position he could have 55 and 88 very often in this spot with icm it's an easy fold. Even AT off u could fold preflop because the guys are much tighter 13 player left. For me it would be a snap fold.
only move i disagree with half way through is the raise with the nuts KT straight. and you even asked yourself should you raise smaller so you can fold to an all in. well played
These comments are dumb. I honestly like the call after your train of thought. I do not think people can grasp the level all these players are at and how "omg 10k 13 left" like people will stop making moves. Well done <3 a bink is coming!
U know he is a loosing player? - He is much down. The player with 88 was out of position and u wouldn't lead the flop and even the turn because u know one player will bet for sure. Ask player Rolle it's for sure a easy fold. And yes I play until 3k Tournaments also and have 450k profit. The most player don't have the balls to risk here the tournament life.
Did u see his ggpoker graph that's a massive fish graph he won one tournament for 500k was 450k up and is now 100k down after 880 games. And his graph was not one really good tournament after his win.
APE STYLESSSSSSS!!! Long time man! Just found out about your channel recently. Its been fun to watch some of your deep runs & six figure cashes. I can tell technology has advanced & now you have a huge platform with lots of bells & whistles… But its refreshing to see that at your core youve stayed true to yourself & who you are. All the mannerisms still the same! Haha Brings back memories of the good old days back in the ATX. Hope you keep crushing & eventually take down a milli once more. BISCUITS!!! 👊🏻🤠
That A10 call was AWFUL 😂. You really think you're good with 13 players left in a 10k, and he shoves allin 30 blinds? Every 2 pair, set beats you already, not to mention just a better kicker lol
@winningbackthegirl they absolutely do, especially semi-bluffs. You can tell the OP comment has zero idea what he's talking about because he included "not to mention just a better kicker." Single pair Ace isn't shoving that spot. That shove is extremely polar and that player HAS TO (must) include bluffs in his range if he plans on doing it with sets there. Players like you guys who think about things like "so close to the FT", "in this spot against 2 players", etc don't play $10k tournaments, and if you ever satellited into one would get sniffed out and run over.
Ape is one of my fav poker youtuber, but let's be honest here, the dude just punted $100-200k in value. Villain check-shove into 2 callers, super dupper strong line. The only hands I can see him do this with is like KhQh, KhJh, Kh10h and maybe sometimes with 6h7h but I am not even sure since villain could be against a higher flush draw. That is only 4 hands that I can find in vilain range that Ape is ahead of when he calls. And when he does call, he is like 65-35 against those hands. Now what are the hands that beats us that villain overcalled the BB? A5, A8, Q8, (x15) 55, 88 (x3) and on low frequency AA is trapped in the BB. This was a fold. Most videos of Ape, he plays perfectly with is aggression/bluffs but makes unnecessary calls. Having said that, he is obviously 100x better than me.
@@jonathanvanfleet3936 Don´t worry jonathan, u made enough good reads in your life and have nothing to prove anymore, but its great to someone being as humble as you, even though you made millions in poker, mad respect!
Idk how the hand started but it looks like ape flatted button and then they flatted BB behind. I don’t like the call because who on earth is bluffing there, but it makes sense on a theoretical level because there are very few shoves there for value that make sense. However if you see 88 everything I said gets invalidated because that should go in pre like he said.
27:38 insane call to me idk. more so just bc of the emotional control it takes to evaluate this rationally after u went from 150bb and 1st to a middling stack.
yeah was great seeing ya at the Wynn (Stringer from BBZ) over the summer. Totally agree it's the nicest venue to play in by far. Very professionally run. Great food. Sunlight..etc
