You should probly link the MSI wifi7 pcie adapter because that uses the qualcom chip which works for amd. That said if i am not mistaken, windows 11 doesn't yet support wifi7? so if you install the wifi7 pcie adapter, it will be stuck at wifi6e speeds ya?
in your test i saw it showed wifi6 when connecting to the ap. so the limiting factor was your client didn't support wifi7 so it couldn't get the most out of it. but later in the video you showed a laptop with wifi7. I'm assuming it supported 320 MHz? for power did you have poe++? if not that would impact the performance. based on your results you didn't even break 2.5gbe speeds. how far was your client from the ap? If your video included comparisons for distance of client from the ap as measurement, and other tests like wall penetration through walls in a different room, that would also improve your video benchmarks for this :}
Hi there, yes WiFi6E clients reached 1 Gbps and in WiFi7 up to 1.5 Gbps. I really think that with better adapters we're gonna be able to go beyond that. I do not have a PoE++ switch so as I said I used a 12V 3 Amp adapter. I could have used an injector as you well stated. The performance is going to be the same as with PoE++ only it will consume less power overall. The 2.5 Gbps could be surpassed with a well connected client for each radio. But I keep thinking it would be enough. We we'll be sharing more practical workshops in the near future testing more adapters and demanding scenarios for this AP too. Have a great day and thanks for enriching these blogs.
@@TechnologyMoments ty for sharing. i do have a poe++ switch but they are 2.5gbe .... i don't see any poe++ 10g injectors around. seems like a switch is the way but they cost a bomb, so i don't blame you not having it. it's hard to find and expensive if you do. My eap-773 is arriving soon, so i can test with my samsung S24 Ultra. But it will be capped at 2.5gbe using the poe++ ports. So i won't be able to get the supposed 3gbe + speeds this eap-773 should be able to get 🤔 otherwise what then is the point of the 10gbe ports. ubiquiti u7 pro straight up stuck to 2.5gbe ports.
u can self host the omada controller using docker. but i read on reddit, omada is more susceptible compared to ubiquiti aps, if you disable controller, the ap itselfs wifi might also go down depending on your setup. so if you want wifi to be up, have to make sure your controller is also up. like you said poe+ should be sufficient to power this eap-773, but 6GHz will be affected. Hence you will want to be sure you can do poe++ if not at least have the appropriate injector if you don't have a poe++ switch. If you still insist on poe+ then perhaps a Ubiquiti U7 Pro would be a better choice since that uses poe+ The trade of though, is that the U7 Pro is limited to 2.5gbe ports, whereas the EAP-773 has 10gbe port. The EAP is only 2x2 so it won't be as good as the 783 which is 4x4
If you want to upgrade your Home network, you get the wifi7 AP (amzn.to/3VDuOIV ) or a router such as the Archer series which is very good (amzn.to/45J426n )
The archer A7 is a Wifi 5 router. If you want a wifi 6 go for the AX3000 amzn.to/3xviUsl For WiFi 7 still very expensive, the Archer BE550, (amzn.to/4bjQiAa )
Do I need an access point for this? Or can I receive a signal to my phone right away? Also, how would I hook up a second computer to this? And how is this even receiving a signal?
Just got these today. Def don’t disappoint and are pretty worth it imo. Just wish they had app support for customizable EQ and software updates. For some reason they sound better wired than wireless. Still a good pair of cans tho.
Well. SOunds nice, but I don't like this UniFi idea. Maybe its just me. I do like their products I think, but I don't like this single point of failure.
It is not like that at all, but I understand absolutely your doubts. If I were to implement a new infrastructure and I did not know anything about them I would thoroughly talk to people who have used them for at least a year. Good luck with your projects.
That is actually very probable, but after analyzing the behavior, the question we had was, why only in the 5 GHz band? Actually in WiFi 7 native mode worked very well which is something that had misguided us. Thanks for enriching this exchange of ideas!
Don't buy this stuff if you live in the UK. The returns process is done by sending stuff to the Netherlands. Your products get customs charges for returns! This stuff is garbage!
Most cameras have direct access to mp4 files. In some rare cases if they have proprietary files you can always use a format converter and watch files in your laptop. Removal of the card is necessary. As of the recorded files, they go directly to the Photos App and in Android, they go to the correspondent folder.
tried one of those stepdown USB to AA battery kits. they are bad. the battery case was undersized so for blink doorbells it wont make contact, it would only work for spring AA holders. then to make it worse it was unable to output the current needed for the doorbell to ring. ive decided to make my own with a LM2695 and a battery bank as theres no plug nearby. but turns out the current draw is so low the battery bank switches off. so it seems either i go USB PD or use a current pulse circuit with a TLC555.
I bought the blink mini and didn't know i opted into the trial period of free cloud service, but im not upset about it. I only need something that motion activated, and im fine with 10 second recordings for my situation, but i dont want to pay a monthly subscription. Im looking at the module 2 and usb as an alternative, but im getting conflicting info. Do i have to insert the usb into my computer in order to view the videos through the blink app? Im confused how that piece works if you dont have a monthly subscription.
I understand your thoughts. Don't worry, when using the Sync Module 2 you can (if you want) check your recordings in your laptop, but you can also check recordings from the app, as you would with the cloud recordings, no need for monthly payments, the only aspect to consider, is that access to the USB is much slower than cloud recordings, and, overwriting of older files is still not automatic. You may want to have a usb drive to swap when full.
These models do not feature batteries like Blink's or for example the Cinnado or Aosu we recently tested. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-76T5i-kzSy4.htmlsi=5Ug4wCW7r_Yie_Hw
Not right now. We've tested and still not possible, You can do that with the edge router from Ubiquiti: amzn.to/3UO2p2l Not so easy to configure as you have to use CLI but still very powerful
Thank you very much for this video, I just made the assembly with a powerbank and a USB 12v to 3.3v converter. It works for a few moments but the powerbank turns itself off... I've tried it with two models and it's not working. So I'm going to order the same part as you to make 220v to 3.3v.
Just for the responder's side... or at least a DynDNS or noip.com account. Definitely you'll need control over you public IP at least for port forwarding.
Hi, can my old hp pavillion 15 notebook pc be upgraded with this chip? How am i supposed to check the highest wifi card my system can work with? Thanks for the video
Unfortunately there is no easy answer to your question and even processor and MB have to be compatible, and we've tried in some laptops that are supposed to work with... and no luck. A good reference would be the release date compared with examples you find like this one. Sorry I could not help you better.
We've not been able to test as our software is not capable of measuring it at a very precise scale, but with normal ping plotter in just a few hundred meters is not noticeable.
@@TechnologyMoments hey thanks for your reply! Have you not at least captured the RTT difference on a simple ping with & without the media converter in the path?
Hi sir, assuming that i want to access remotely my home network using different network but establishing a openvpn server. Can i access my home network by doing these? Thank you!
that is the one that is most common which is the duplex LC connector, in that particular case with an OS2 fiber. (a whole set of fiber optic videos comming) Splice your own cables, terminate them, etc.
@@TechnologyMoments hi,i figured out how to add portal authentification on Lan ports and how to connect non tplink access points to the omada controller.its working well.thanks
HELP!! 1-I am currently sharing with my my ex. How do I get him OFF of this account so he cannot see or have access to my live stream 2- I was looking around in the Wansview cloud app and under the Local Application tab I do not understand what the Local Account is? Why is it different than my account that I set up? What is RTSP. And ONVIF? Can they and should they be changed? Does the ex have access to such information?
Inaccurate configuration as of April 2024. Avoid all this complexity and errors and literally just plug the sfp module to port 10, connected to internet source. Then go to settings > internet (you can use the phone app too for this) and enable port 10 wlan. DO NOT change from auto negotiation to 1gb fdx. That is just stupid advice in general, with no real reason. If you want to use two wlans, simply add the other one on the same settings > internet screen. Absolutely DO NOT change automatic settings unless your environment mandates it.
Hello brother. I have an HP Envy 15 (J039tx) purchased in 2013. It has Ralink RT3290 wifi and Bluetooth card. I want to get rid of it and convert my wifi to AC and Bluetooth to 5.1 or 5.2. Please suggest me a PCIE mini wifi card. Thanks.
whats annoying about Ubiquiti is you cannot buy a Dream router as they are out of stock and have been for weeks. No details as to when they will be available. Come on Ubiquiti you ca do better than this!!
