The Canadian Religious Conference is both a voice for and a service to leaders of religious institutes and societies of apostolic life. CRC’s mission is to encourage its members to live fully their vocation in following Christ. The CRC supports its members in their prophetic witness to justice and peace within society and the church. The CRC looks for audacious ways of interpreting faith and life so as to embrace the new vision of the universe.
In undergrad, I enrolled in a semester devoted to the Enlightenment period. We stayed in one room and profs from each specialty came to lecture: literature, history, music…(no science, unfortunately). It was an exciting learning experience. I found myself wishing it were the norm.
By the grace of God mystics like Ilia appear. Reminds me of John the Baptist in his function of setting up the paradigm shift. I feel like I’m 100% behind her.
I can get immersed in Ilia Delio for hours to the point of completely losing track of time. For her, there is no conflict between science and religion and she says astounding things like this (2:41:39): "My definition of the Christian is one who is connected through the heart to the whole of life and attuned to the deeper reality and intelligence of nature called forth by the energies of love, or the spirit, to creatively express one's gifts in the evolution of self and world. We are the rising up of God in evolution and I think that that reality has yet to really enter into us and what that means for us. When our minds and hearts expand in love, God is born in us and through us into the universe and the world moves ever closer to Omega."
I would love to meet you Ilia. Your message is profound and heart centering. Thank you for your dedication to explaining how evolution is part and parcel the key component of God life. What your saying is a paradigm shift for many who have not evolved out of God as a static object to call upon to change outcome. The real shift needs to come soon. Many Blessings to you!❤
