I occasionally post videos as my hobby. The home of Forgotten Media, talking about films, games, and other things that not a lot of people talk about. Archie Sonic Character Files, explaining the history of characters from the comics while I give my personal thoughts on them as I am not legally allowed to talk about the Sonic games anymore. And sometimes just random vids whenever I feel like making them. I also show up on Roger's Dissected Alive Livestream series talking about Sonic stuff and other random things.
Oh yeah, guess Sonic Prime is already fadding away from my memory lol. No matter how many times Sega keeps insisting that the show is "canon" despite all the contradictions.
I really like Honey the Cat and Breezie the Hedgehog. I do wish the Archie Comic versions of them get repurpose for the IDW stories. Oh well, at least we got enough material of their more definitive versions to use for fan works.
Dulcy's redesign looks a lot nicer. Her first design wasn't bad but it stood out like a sore thumb among the other Freedom Fighters, like she was from a completely different cartoon/comic. Early Archie had that issue with a lot of designs though. As a kid I never realized Dulcy had a nose ring. I thought it was some kind of weird mustache and never questioned it.
I'm actually a huge fan of Dulcy. Her design really won me over, especially because of her size, and they could have done a lot more with her because of that alone.
The Pirates of the Setting Dawn were really fun and, like almost everything character in these comics, I wish they could have been use more😢. Like, it would been cool to see them interact with Abyss, especially her talking to captain Shellbreaker and Blade. Also there’s one page where Opal is talking with Espio and am I the only one who thought they were kinda like Knuckles and Rouge😂?
It’s a shame that Dulce got the short end of the stick in Archie. She had some really potential and her freedom fighters in reboot Archie would have been cool to explore. Either way great video.
Dulcy is a character I feel has a lot of potential but usually has the short end of the stick. The biggest offender of this is the Sonic SatAM Sea3on fan project which leaves her out completely despite being a continuation. I saw in a video talking about the history of SatAM and what season 3 would have had that Ben Hurst did have plans for her, and I heard that the animated version of Sea3on won't be exact to the comic version since the crew behind it talked to some people who worked on the original show and took suggestions from them, so I do hope she makes it into the animated version, even if it's later on because I feel she deserves a second chance. I know some people found her annoying, but the same could be said about Antoine, and he's still in this project.
I agree with you about imagining of a storyline in Archie Sonic where Dulcy stand up for herself against Zan, tells him off while fighting him, & then he flies off never to be seen again. And if they bring Zan back in a few more stories, I figure he would be brought to life by Eggman and have him be a part of his Dark Egg Legion as an operative who works for the Regina Ferrum/Iron Queen alongside Hugo Brass. & You can bet your bottom dollar that just like with Drago Wolf, Ian Flynn & the writers will also hate this dragon & wouldn't hesitate to give him the exact same treatment they gave to traitorous member of the Wolf Pack Freedom Fighters. The indication of That treatment is: having Sonic, His Friends, the Freedom Fighters beat the fucking shit out of this asshole. Yeah! As you can tell I hate Zan! He is worse than Drago Wolf, He is worse than The Pre-Super Genesis Wave's portrayal of King Acorn. He's got them all beat! having Dulcy stand up for herself against Zan
Zan also apart from being abusive Zan is also portrayed as a complete and utter racist as he hates and is prejudice towards non dragon Mobians though he does seem to hate hedgehogs the most
I love how Mobian dragons have marsupial like pouches akin to the Dragons from Dragon Tales it gives the idea that the males and females take it in turns looking after they're eggs
Sega has to get over the Ken Penders thing and lift the mandates as it lets the tv show and comics have more creative freedom Because let me remind you it was the mandates that led to Archie Sonic getting cancelled
I like both of Dulcy's designs, although it took me a while to adjust to the reboot version. Of course, it's just a shame Archie never knew what to do with her before then. I'm not sure she's disliked, I think she just gets forgotten with how infrequently she showed up anywhere. I sincerely forgot she existed until I started reading more of the Archie comics recently and seeing other people's opinions of them. (Also, I forgot she was in SatAM lol.) I love that ending dialog joke btw. And yeah, it's a shame we never got to see more of her post-reboot! I like that they at least gave a good reason for why she isn't around while also giving her some new friends and more freedom fighters, which I really wanted to see more of. Also found out Muttski could talk after Sonic returned from space which makes his reboot version even more refreshing even though it surprised me at first lol well both did but it makes some sense. That and being inconsistent about if the other lil animals could talk. Maybe that's worth a look at, the Mobini!
YoubShould totally do a video on the Satam characters who didn't get adapted into the Archie comics and wish they did As i did find it weird Ari the Ram didn't appear in the Archie comics since he technically joined the Knothole Freedom Fighters in season 2 due to being the sole survivor of his Freedom Fighters
Cat was apart of the Knothole group, the only member outside of the core cast that even has a name and tied to one of Sonic's more emotional moments but he doesn't get as much as a mention in the comics, not even an acknowledgement in the Archie Encyclopedia.
@@rayvenkman2087Yeah especially since it was heavily implied that he was killed off screen as he wasn't in his cell when Sonic came back to rescue him
Probably because she was a mandated character in the Satam series to have more female representation and the original comics didn't seem to know what to do with her after a certain point. Compared to Cat, she's lucky to even be remembered by the comic while poor Cat is straight up forgotten despite being apart of the team. You'd be lucky to find a fanfic where he's even acknowledged.
To shame will never see character's like Dulcy again in official Sonic Media because Sega is against using mythical creatures Don't get Because despite being fictional dragons still kinda count as animals
Sonic Underground... was a show I watched a few times when I was a kid. And it certainly was an experience. Fun Fact, Sam Vincent, voice of Double D from Ed, Edd and Eddy, did the singing for Sonic. Yup.
I had watched your channel over 10 years ago and randomly saw your name in my subscriptions and decided to see what's been going on. Really happy to see you're still going. It's a rare treat to see one of my super old subscriptions with recent uploads. Forgotten Media was pretty interesting.
I always love a group of pirates in any media and it was that we got this group. Really wish that we got more of them before things came to an end. Awesome video!!
I always voice Mr Bristles with a Cockney accent akin to Flynn the Elephant Seal from Ice Age 4 The way his dialogue is written kind of gives the idea that he would speak with a Cockney accent
