Beautiful song and inspiring lyrics. The message of the song is very emotional and relatable. The singers voices are amazing and they sound wounderful together. Love the first movie but the second movie is just perfect. It's so fun, beautiful, excieting, has the best songs and gives perfect lifeleassons of friendship and teamwork❤❤❤
Kiara: Father, please, reconsider! Simba: You will not go anywhere without an escort from now on. Kiara: No! That's not-! Simba: He used you to get to me! Kiara: NO! He loves me for me! Simba: Because you are my daughter, you will not leave Pride Rock. You will stay where I can keep an eye on you. Away from him! Kiara: You don't know him! Simba: I know he's following in Scar's pawprints! And I must follow in my father's. Kiara: YOU WILL NEVER BE MUFASA!!!! (Simba is stunned at this remark and stares remorsefully at Kiara as she runs in the cave crying) Sarabi: (gasps) SIMBA!!! How could you do that to her and Kovu?! I thought you've learned something after reclaiming your throne from Scar! Simba: Mother, I had to do something to keep Kiara safe from harm! I'm only doing what was best for the kingdom! And for the pride! Sarabi: Well, what you're doing is only making things worse for everyone! Whenever you look at Kovu, all you could see in him is an obstacle! Or worse: A target! But what Kiara, Nala, and I see in him is an innocent lion who was tricked and used by a deluded lioness who only saw her children as tools for her evil plans! Simba: But, Mother, he...! Sarabi: No, Simba! Just stop it! Look, I know what Scar did to Pride Rock and to your father long ago was evil! But if you don't let go of the pain from your past and move on, you'll end up losing everything forever! Whether you believe it or not! (leaves her stunned son in disappointment, but pauses for a brief moment) Oh, one more thing. If your father was still alive, he would never have wanted any of this. (Simba gasps as his disappointed mother leaves; Nala looks at him in a disappointed look) Simba: (remorseful) Nala, I-I... Nala: (sighs sadly) I just can't talk to you right now. (leaves) (Simba looks at the pride, but they stare at him with sad, disappointed looks and turn on him as they head back into the cave. Zazu, Timon, and Pumbaa also leave, looking sad and disappointed in Simba. The other animals, who also heard the argument, were also disappointed in Simba for making them kick Kovu out for no reason. And for that, they all turn on him and walk away in disappointment.) Simba: (sighs sadly, lays down on the ledge of Pride Rock, and looks up at the sky) Father, what have I done? (sheds a tear)
My mom and I heard A Whole New World from the Broadway version of Aladdin on the On Broadway station on Sirius XM and she reminded me of how I played Jafar in my old theater company’s production of Aladdin Jr back in the summer of 2011. She asked me, “Phillip, didn’t you have so much fun playing Jafar?” I said, “Yes, I did.” I then told her I liked the Walt Disney Records Facebook page and they added a Disney Villains collage photo and it said, “They live for evil, who’s your favorite villain?” And in the Disney Villains collage pic, they showed Jafar from Aladdin, Ursula from The Little Mermaid, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty and Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians.
Did anyone else notice this might be a weird yet possible correlation to God the Father and the Devil? Listen the the lyrics and the context of the story.
That was horrific. Just imagine that you are forced to marry someone you don't even know, and certainly you don't love this person. The tragedy is that this still happens here somewhere in China.
