@@maddrummer-nickelmo3465 for sure. He does a lot of weird accents like that, and the crashes are also kinda low in the mix usually. You nailed all the important/difficult parts so great job I'm thinking about covering it but I already know the blast beats are gonna suck 🤣
Thanks man!! I actually learned the main parts by ear and interpreted the solo sections my own way. Sadly I don't think a drumscore has been written for this song but I'm not sure. The way I see this song is just as an upbeat Songo coupled with those specific accent sections so you're pretty much free to play it how you want
@@maddrummer-nickelmo3465 Thank you for the answer, and to get to this level, do you have any working advice? drum methods ? exemple of exercices ? thanks again
@@thierry6297 Sure! Study as many musical styles you can and learn how to groove and improvise in them, that will greatly increase your drumming vocabulary. Technique is super important, I might start posting lessons on this channel, as there are a few techniques I feel everyone should practice. Also playing in bands and gigs is always a plus, it teaches you how to listen to the others more than yourself.
Fantastic job on this one Nickelmo! Definitely enjoying your kick tone, cymbal hits, and video quality/editing as the entire video is on point! That e-kit also sounds amazing! Where these guys are such a huge influence on us, maybe you’d dig our new playthrough we dropped this morning! Either way keep up the amazing work brother, looking forward to seeing future covers from you! 🤘🏻
Hey man! First of all thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed the vid! I checked out your latest video, which of the 3 guys is you? I can definitely hear that All that remains influence. Your music is really heavy, "The worst of it" bangs. The only thing missing in your band is some big fat live drums! That would make such a huge difference :)
Well done, sir! Super great playing. I always loved the double bass in the finale; it was such an unexpected surprise back then. Jeff Campitelli gave Joe a run for his money on that song and the entire album. He was determined to not just be background filler and accomplished this in spades.
Thank you so much! Yeah I agree with you on the presence of the drums on those songs, and that double-bass section at the end really ends the song with a bang haha! Btw, feel free to check out the new video I'm going to post right now :)
Hey Mad Drummer, wow... you did an amazing job on this - Congrats! 🤗 Keep on going and never give up! Would mean a lot if you could check out one of my Covers too and let me know what you think about it! 🙏 tysm
