I was in the same dojo under Yamaguchi sensei guidance back in 1986. This brings back memory for me even the video did not capture the true energy that Master Yamaguchi radiated during his teaching.
He was a really abnoxious guy, I despised him. He was a low creature, a liar and tremendously arrogant. He ans the French practitioners had an almost romantic relationship. He will seat on them and they pretended that it was impossible to move while he smiled like an asshole. Once he tried to seat on me and I put my thumb in his anus, he stood up like being hit by a bolt of lightening and expell me from the class.
I sought this video out on youtube, as I remember my uncle fred(wainwright) talking about ken at one time. My uncle passed away in 1990 sadly, and although when i was in my teens i was aware he taught aikido it wasn't until after he had passed away that I found out the true extent of his interest, i have so little in the way of pictures of my uncle, but can see from video's like this that it would have been something he would have passionately committed to.
