Una obra maravillosa. Bailarines espectaculares. Lastima que el video se vea pixelado y no esta el final. Por lo demas estupendo. Bravo por el Cullberg Ballet. Bravo Mats Ek.
You're right but this is from Tchikovsky and he lived a lot of years ago. He made a music to tell a story according to Petipa's choreography and none of them can speak now and say what they think about. There are lots of original ballets with original music and original choreographies, much more close to reality and much more honest..
@yago311 I always assumed she represented an amalgamation of Micaela, his mother and (since she appears when the theme is played) Fate. I love Ek's work... and Ana Laguna is breathtaking.
Siempre me ha sorprendido esta Compañia; Son magnificos. Ana Laguna compone una Carmen magnifica; Es una artista unica, por su estilo, su personalidad y el gran y alto compromiso artistico, que ella trasmite. ¡¡¡Imperdible y realmente Admirable!!!
yessss!!. absolutly agre whit you lindeswein. currently the contemporary dance have not soul. in name of abstracting they make no sence things. except for a few choreographer.
lol cigar smoking as they are under her spell by a spanish speaking ballerina how fitting and epic, and at least they hold the cigars they way they are supposed to and not between the fingers like a cigerett.
The best company, the best dancers and the best coreographer in the world!!!!!! Live, passion, feelings, energy, expression, blood, amasing, I can´t stop to watch it!!!!!..I miss a lot in the dance actually...a lot of tecnic but cold dancers...
Marc Hwang and Ana were amazing! Well, everyone was, but the two of them really touched me. Marc you're a star, and I miss our days at Bejart together. I hope you're doing well wherever you are!
Mats Ek is pure genius. Carmen is his best imo, loved it from the first time i saw it, then was 'bout 9 years old:) such strong impression left . thanks for uploading
