Building a fram and using spray foam works too! Just build a frame 5 x 7 or something and use plywood and about 7 cans of Walmart special spray faom to fill it in. Let dry and Wala 😁
my larue qd mounts typically move 1/2 inch either right or left when taken off and on. good for switching my night scope and day scope out for hunting. not so much for serious sniper or competion work.
Buddies would get aggravated when their kids asked tons of questions. I loved it. I can’t tell you how many times I didn’t know & we would go on an adventure to find out.
She's in college working on becoming a nurse. I'm working on paying for it, lol. I still hunt & shoot competitively, but I'm not all that interesting. When life gives us the time, we'll get back at it. Thanks for checking in & for the comment.
Had the bow set up at a pro shop. It performed just fine ru-vid.comUgkxQEKUoxLWwayEDZR0NKB-5limn4MBU-2L . And I would say this is a good starting now that I could pass down to my son when he is older. But the package was missing the release and a nock was missing from one arrow.Dealing with customer support was terrible. They suggested I buy a new release rather than correct their own quality control issue because it’s to expensive for the. to ship it out from China.Update: manufacturer got back to me and resolved the issue. I retract the above statement.
great idea! to attempt to answer your issue about maybe having more density to provide better stoppage, how about closing the 5gal bucket with its lid? that way when the foam expands, it will be compressed into a smaller area (assuming that the foam doesn't need air exposure to harden). if that doesn't provide enough compression, then maybe try 2 foam packets in the same bucket at the same time. you may have to secure the lid on the bucket as i'm not sure how much pressure the expanding foam will exert on the bucket's lid.
This was such an enjoyable video. Please tell me you got video of Lucky Lefty getting sent straight to his maker by your daughter a few days later!!!!!!!!!
Love that 6.8.... I have two , hog hunt with them all the time .. Six , she had stacked up so far ... Biggest one was 275-300 .. None ever went more than 20-30 yards... O ,. I handload my rounds .
Def. a 6.8 fan (as you can prob tell from my vids). Perfect for deer and/or hogs. If you don't mind my asking, what projectile are you loading? Many thanks for watching & the comment.
@@brotherscoyote I have shot and killed Hogs with both 110 vmax and the 120s SST's... And when I'm hand loading them. I tried to keep them at the Hornady black specks....
@@normpage4604 Good to know. I've always been hesitant to use the V-Max bullets on hogs or deer, but all the testing I've done with them has been pretty great, so might have to see how the 110 v's will do b/c they're so much closer to the weight of my Barnes load. Thanks again.
Pour it into a nice large square box and then stuff old clothes or cardboard into the foam before it dries. I’m going to try this thanks for the brain power
Great idea. If you give it a try, let me know how it works, and roughly what speed & weight arrow (broadhead v. field point, etc.) it will stop. Thanks for the comment.
Couldn't agree more, but rounds and even projectiles are getting annoyingly difficult to find. I can't find a Barnes 95 gr TTSX to save my chubby little life. Best of luck this season, and thanks for watching & commenting.
@@brotherscoyote Look into Cavity Back Bullets. They are nothing short of impressive. If you reload, they’ll sell projectiles only. If you don’t, they sell the ammo for SPC II barrels only. Good luck 👍
@@jimedick9496 I've been loading with the CBB's. I'm not a fan thus far. I lost a few deer at around 200 yards. I've never lost an animal with this rifle until I switched to CBB's. Not sure what happened, but I'll need to do a great deal more testing before I trust them to hunt with.
@@brotherscoyote I’m sorry to hear that. I’ll admit, I’ve never shot anything with them at 200 yards. Both mine had been inside 100 yards. I agree with the Barnes, those are excellent projectiles. I haven’t seen any in awhile, but I hadn’t been looking either. I still have plenty of those on hand.
You should at least leave one or two critical reviews up because when new viewers come and view the comments everybody knows that there should be one or two critical reviews about this video because you yourself as a father know the mistakes that you made because you say some of them in the video. Having said that it's great that you're spending time with your daughter and teaching her how to shoot. But if she's not ready to kill an animal and you guys don't have empty freezers I don't know that you should tell her she has to do it. Judging by her surprise after she fired the AR it makes me wonder if you had her do any practice at the shooting range. Anyway obviously at the shooting range usually everybody wears earplugs. But anyway I know this will get taken down so go ahead.
First off, thanks for watching & commenting. I only report and/or remove comments that are perverted or not appropriate regarding my daughter (and the internet is full of them). All of the other comments (including yours) have been left up, and are encouraged. This is a free space & criticisms are as welcome as complements. I told her that "SHE has to do it" meaning that I wasn't going to take the shot, SHE was. She had been on prior hunts with me before she was the hunter. She's been shooting an AR for quite some time before (and after) this deer was taken, but never from a blind & never at a deer (1 hog killed previously). Good luck riding the keyboard, warrior.
Excellent, il ne me reste plus qu'a confectionner le rubber mulch; Excellent, I just have to make the rubber mulch Greetings from France and thank you for this vidéo, it's very useful to repair our 3D's targets
@@brotherscoyote Merci l'ami, votre vidéo va bien m'aider à réparer nos cibles 3D my english is not very good thank you, friend, your video will help me to repair the club's 3D targets, the problem is that in France it's hard to find rubber mulch, that's why, I have to make some at from scrap rubber.
@@jonardjean-paul5187 There are kits available on the internet that sell the foam for repairing the 3D targets. It is pretty expensive, but I've heard they work quite well. Good luck, and I hope it works out for you.
She couldn't get the rifle situated steady enough to feel good about an accurate shot. Then she got scared that she would miss. I adjusted the length of pull on the stock shorter, and she was able to control the rifle much better. Credit to her, she didn't take a shot that she didn't feel comfortable that she could make. Thanks for watching.
As far as I know, hunting with arrows would be forbidden here in Germany. But that shouldn't be a judgement. I like that girls do this; Good Hunting. What interests me is whether American law also has a corresponding hunting law that regulates which animal may be hunted at what time and when it has a closed season. Or in the United States is everyone free to hunt as they please?
There are definitely hunting regulations and laws in the United States. There are both Federal (United States government), as well as laws for each State. Depending on what you are hunting, and with what equipment, you must purchase the appropriate licensing. Hogs are not considered a game animal in our state (Louisiana), so people are more free to hunt them with a variety of equipment, and at a variety of times of day. For instance hogs may be hunted year round and at night time if you follow the appropriate laws, but deer have a season, and can only be hunted during the day. I hope you have a great hunting season & thanks for watching.
