It stinks that Fremantle didn't let you stay on as annoucer for Drew Carey run even though you were there for the first 2 or 3 seasons (correct me if I'm wrong) of his run.
He's the best announcer ever. I remember that I called a Florida radio station while Rich was working there. At the end of the conversation, we both shout "Come on Down!". That was groovy.
I’m happy Bob specifically selected you to succeed Rod Roddy, Rich. Even though your tenure with Bob was only during his last 3 years on The Price Is Right, you made it sound like you announced the show since its debut. You were such a consummate professional. I found it very touching that Rod’s predecessor Johnny Olson gave you an impromptu chance at his gig during the show’s early years As a side note Rich, since last Christmas, I’ve read your Trust Your Inner GPS book 10 times now. Like Bob’s Priceless Memories book, your book just gets better and better every time I read it
Thank you Dan for your comments on my book. I appreciate that. I am happy that it strikes home for you. Folks who got the audio-book seem to enjoy it because I read it to them… (instead of them reading it to themselves). But no matter how you enjoy it… I am happy. 😊
Return to wof please, cause you haven’t been there since November 2010 when you were the guest announcer, you as the permanent announcer would be perfect! Jim Thornton isn’t all that great.
Don't Forget to Visit Seattle and also Toronto Canada you have a great story don't forget Ted Talks and Sacramento San Diego San Francisco San Jose Oakland Los Angeles Nashville Memphis Philadelphia Pittsburgh New York City Atlanta Cleveland Cincinnati Miami Orlando Tampa Washington DC Baltimore Dallas Houston San Antonio Salt Lake City Detroit St. Louis Kansas City Phoenix Minneapolis Denver Anchorage Honolulu Jacksonville New Orleans Charlotte Boston Chicago Milwaukee Indianapolis Las Vegas and London England
“All good thing must come to pass” @@mfarmer623Be thankful that you grew up in a portion of the Bob Barker era and got to witness what a great show host looks like and does. Right? There are folks that don’t know of the Bob shows… they have grown up with Drew. To them the show is just fine.
Rich, I am a big fan of yours in the price is right since 1991 when I was 10. What I like on your attitude id your sincerity, uniqueness and foremost, humility. Today I am a freelance Philippine Sportscaster hoping that one day Price Is Right Philippines would come back & I will audition as announcer. I am so passionate on game shows . God bless. ❤ From the Philippines 🇵🇭
Rich, I think you were not given your due. I personally think George Gray is not of your caliber. You carried the torch well from Rod and Johnny. When Rod did his warmups, there was always a "big band" song playing before he was introduced to do the warmup. Does anyone know what it was?
Yeah… I remember asking my agent about that line. We both agreed it was funny and that it wouldn’t reflect bad on TPIR. Mr. Barker would have thought it to be funny. @@JasonDelarosa2000
rich was a wonderful man. he was an awesome announcer. i love the Johnny O story he has. Johnny was amazing and Rod was the first announcer i grew up with
I really wish you come back to price and wheel since 2010. It would also make your die hard fan @Angie2343 extremely happy again. I highly suggest it. I’m worried what if you don’t do it before you…you know.
Thank you, Rich, for your contribution to The Price Is Right during both the end of The Barker Era and the beginning of the Carey Era. Thanks to Pluto TV and The Price Is Right #2 channel, we get to remember your work!
@@TheRichFieldsChannel Yes it was Rich, I played party mode a lot, and that was really fun cause I could choose the games, if I saw Plinko on there I would automatically click on that one
@@TheRichFieldsChannel Yes it is, I remember your line in the video game “The Plinko Chip Is Making It’s Way Down, And It’s About To Land Into…. $10,000!”
