I want to expand beyond just shoes. Shoes will be the driving force behind the channel, but hopefully I'll get into more "hobbies" later on. As for now, I'll try to stick to skate shoes. Mid 90's to early 2000's had some best skate shoe silhouettes. Can't wait to see what else gets a reissue!
@@fastvr693 I've had the al50 and cero in the past few years and they all were about a half size small. I'm size 13 so can't size up. I hope these fit more true to size.
I had a colorway of the original Koston 2s that were similar to these it had black and red on the side and a white and red sole, they were sick. This is a good colorway, looks pretty good with mostly black
éS died for a bit, but came back around 2014ish. Emerica and Etines survived from the three brands from Sole Tech. I feel they're doing well with their re-issues. They definitely have the best ones in my opinion.
I’m having a hard time trying to figure out what size I need to get, I skated the dime in a 10.5 and they fit I’d say how a 10 usually would, I’m inbetween a 10 and 10.5 but usually a 10 for skating and now that my dime ones are dead I’m stuck trying to figure out to stick to the 10.5 or go down to a 10 for the new ones
I have a question. Did you tried the williams Og in your regular 9.5 size but didnt fit ,? then you went half size up (10 ) ? Or you just went half size up and never tried your regular size 9.5 ? I went half size up ( i like the snug fit ) but i feel the extra half size feels normal but not snug . Just.curious if TTs will work better or it will be too tight . Thanks !!
This all depends on you. Like I've said before, it does depend on your foot. Also, I don't know if you've ever doubled up on a pair of shoes and noticed that one pair fits better than the other. It happens. I went half a size up because those fit better. For me. The Lynx OG(9.5) that I have fit perfect. My Truths(9.5) fit snug and my Willams(10) fit perfect. I don't know if this helps. Lol
Great review! I have the blue ones on the video and I couldn't skate them because the heel is too short and my foot was slipping out all the time, I think that the insole was a problem too because they put the ultracush one that's much taller without modifying the inside of the shoe. I put a lunarlon insole instead and now It's fine, definetely I will cop this newer version!
They are OK but I prefer the vans knu skool sneaks just because they look more chunky and look really sick with the fat laces you can also customise them and put in chunky rope laces instead of the regular laces ❤😘❣️🔥
I'd honestly prefer if we got a TRUE reissue of these Rowleys. They are super slimmed down compared to the OG ones from 1999. Even the 2013 reissue was chunkier. Watch "Behind the design Geoff Rowley" you can see how chunky the OG one was. That's the actual Rowley shoe I want. The way it was in 1999
Yeah. I had been wanting a pair of New Balance # 480 for a bit. I'm glad I went with the Reynolds colorway. This is definitively the Nike Dunk of New Balance.
I'd like to see someone actually skate them, to see how much of a difference is there between the ones with the regular box and the ones with the skate box. Because I got the Navy Dimes which are technically from the skate line, and recently got myself some all white ones that came on a regular box. And, at least by just wearing them, I don't see much of a difference. One guy around here who skated a regular box pair had them starting to wear out within a week. Not completely out of commission but still abysmal taking the price tag into consideration. And compared to the legacy pairs from the skate line like The Half Cab, which last far longer and are way cheaper on retail than the Rowley XLT's. For that kind of price tag, DC's Legacy models are a far better choice. I would mention eS Chad Muska's Pro Model but, sadly, they don't pump them out as frequently as DC does with their models.
I still remember me skating the OG 2001 Black/Royal Blue colorway. Wearing out within a week sounds about right. Materials are the same as back then. The XLTs didn't really last long back then and just by the material they're using, the time frame the guy at the skatepark gave you seems about correct.
I remember when I used to sell new balance shoes when I worked at a big 5 store, little did I know Reynolds would ride for them. Reynolds 1 are the shit bring it back emerica
The sizing would be the same as the OG release back in 2009ish. The one, to the right, that I have are wider. The ones to the left are more true to the original ones.
Like I said, for me, it's a welcomed change. Not all the latest reissue have been a home run, you know. We gotta take what we can. I'd rather have this than not at all. To each their own. I'm also just happy to have the XLTs back. I've been wanting more XLTs since I had them back in 2001. Lol
Agreed 100% @fastvr693 the tongues are getting a bit thin in them, but tis better than the super exaggerated puff on the first reissue the dime collab of these.
The ones on the right are not the original ones that released in 2009. The ones on the right are the ones that were released after those. They made them more wide fitting. I didn't like those. The new ones feel more like the OG did. I wish I had a pair of the actual OG ones, but I skated all the pairs I had.
I wear size 9.5 and i had to go half size up the with creagers (10) l as 9.5 it was too tight. Based on that info , do you think these 2 9 8 are true to size ? I like the snug fit. Thanks!!
i'll trade boardfeel for comfort any day. i think 'boardfeel' is made up by big shoe to sell cheap, uncomfortable shoes. make a negative look like a feature, it's just marketing
@@fastvr693 the trench was one of only a few shoes i liked so much i got back-to-back. also etnies mc rap in the jordan colorway red/blk/wht leather, and es koston one - several colorways. i liked the sporty look of shoes of that era, they really are/were purpose built athletic shoes and some brands leaned into it more than others, sometimes bordering on the absurd.
