nice to see, really scratched the nostalgia itch, lol. Hmm, seeing things like "Severe Damage" and "Aircraft finished off"...those must be introduced since I last played...
The "Severe Damage" and "Aircraft Finished Off" mechanic was introduced a couple of major updates ago in order to try and resolve the kill-stealing issue in Air Battles. My understanding is that Severe Damage means you have damaged the enemy aircraft enough that it is likely to go down without further damage, if anyone finishes it off from this point onwards both you and the pilot who finished off the enemy aircraft will be credited the kill (with your team mate receiving an "Aircraft Finished Off" award). Whilst it does have its quirks, for the most part I think it has been a positive change.
I love the situational awareness in that last fight. You let go of that P-38 to take care of the MB157 and then came back and took care of that P-38 later.
Lighting wants to turnfight with E4? I mean, you do you.... Edit: But it is nice to see that content again. Jengar stopped posting in RU-vid about 5 months ago.
The lightning wanted to rope a dope, but didn't calculate the energy level of its target correct. Or that he simply underestimates the E4, which is very common, I encounter it all the time. The E4 is one of the most versatile and capable planes in the game, and people always think it's some low tier trash.
As @zxbc1 has mentioned, I could see what the Lightning was trying to go for but I felt confident I had the energy to follow them. I will admit I have made that mistake myself a few times in the Bf 109 E-4 - especially against Spitfire pilots! Thank you Martin. There is definitely more to come in due time. Goodness me that's a name I have not heard of in ages!

No problem Aero! Real life is going well although keeping me extremely busy. Work is steady, and outside of work the sim-racing commentary has translated into real-life motorsport commentary having made my debut in September last year; and had an opportunity cover even more racing last month. I am currently in the process of finalising more commentary dates for later this year! Likewise, hope all is well with yourself?
I may have been grinning like the Cheshire cat after the second FW 190 found the ground! I enjoyed the 2 vs 1 dogfight against the La-5s although part me was wondering at the time why the second La-5 took their time to come back for another pass.
The opening incident was Bertran braking 300 meters too early at the 700 board. It was very Alonsoish and caught me way off guard. I had to dart right to try and avoid her but couldn’t get 100% out of the way. Her involvement in incidents on a weekly basis is seemingly becoming a common theme unfortunately.
It's bitter that this aircraft has been classified in Tier II, where you'll face opponents like P-38, P-51, Bf 109E, Yak-7 or Ki-61, which can easily tear you to pieces. Respect for your missile capabilities, but if this is the aircraft's most important weapon (as a dive bomber!), then I'm happy to do without this clunker. Another disadvantage of the plane is that you don't hit when bombing horizontally at low altitude, because the bomb bay door always has to open first and you have a delay. The bomb load is also ridiculous: 2x 60kg bombs! or 1x 250kg bomb! (Have you ever tried to destroy a base with it? It takes 10 approaches and the entire time of a match). or 1x 500kg anti-ship bomb that does almost no damage to bases. And how often do you have a map with ships? If I want a fast and maneuverable Japanese fighter I take the Ki-44, which is better in every way. And unfortunately there is now actually the even worse D4Y1 in the game!

I just unlocked this plane today and I’ve been having a blast in it! During my first round ever in this plane I got 6 kills this thing is insane, I love it lol
