Interesting! Always fancied a P5B,disappointed Rover didnt make a manual option, specifically with the Coupe model. They did a manual option on the P6B ,the fantastic 3500S,so seems odd.
Hi Simon, what a lovely motor, if only everything on the road was as interesting and full of character. Very nice. Can I ask what watch you are wearing?
Some of my earliest memories are of riding around in my grandparents 1959 Plymouth Belvedere 4-door sedan, in the late 60's and early 70's. It was two-tone salmon and white.
I'm writing a comment as I'm an enthusiast of 578sqn, and in association with the squadron association I've been posting day by day accounts from the squadron archives on Instagram. Would you mind if I link to this video? I was about to post something on Insta about this crash when I found this clip.
Thank you Simon for sharing. I'm so proud of my father, you can't imagine. I'm blessed that his work can bring you some joy. I will always remember the courage of your family against the nazi infamy.
The engine is designed and built by Alvis Only back in 1951.. The gearbox is not Austin Healey. It was designed backi in the late 40s and was in the TA 14 cars. As was the engine Possibly was earlier than that as well. Check history of the 3litre cars for further information.
Very nice ! These put out 230hp which is more than the Tickford Capri's 205hp , due to the Tickford being a coach built special , they remain the ultimate Capri.
