My name is DJ Nocturna and I live in Honolulu, Hawaii. I began on Public Radio KPRG 89.3 FM in 1998 and shortly thereafter, I hosted A Feast of Friends Radio Show on KTUH 90.3 FM Honolulu (KTUH.ORG) which aired for over 16 years.
I currently host the Queen of Wands Radio Show on Modsnap Radio (www.modsnapradio.com) - Saturday 2pm to 4pm (Hawaii Standard Time) and Tuesday 5pm to 7pm (Hawaii Standard Time). I feature Post Punk, Deathrock, Goth, Industrial, EBM, Dark Electro, DarkWave, Ethereal, Dream Pop, 80s, New Wave, Trip Hop, Rock and Dark Alternative music. I also host the "Queen of Wands" Podcast where I regularly interview interesting guests.
My radio show and this RU-vid channel are inspired by my love for music, the legendary Nick Cave, astrology, tarot, spiritual topics and occult related themes...hence the name of the show, "The Queen of Wands."
I've definitely seen KMFDM the most throughout the years, I first saw them Oct. 7th 1995 in Milwaukee, WI at The Rave and was only 12 lol... Now 41 and I already have tickets for the 40th Anniversary opener at the same venue on Oct 16th!
Great talk. I always loved the art of him, Rhys and the other guys, because they never went down one way, but explored completely opposite at the same time. Many "hard music" guys just are that ... and they show both sides. Delerium has so many great songs, and FLA is just very intense, and their unique sound with lots of analogue gear and not just relying on overused presets some stupid Mac software gives you... Great. By the way, he must be the artist using the "you know" second most :-D ... I only know Wolfgang Flur (ex-Kraftwerk) using that phrase even more often ;)...
What an incredible interview. Of course we all love her voice, but hearing her talk about her instrument and her intentions and how people respond to her art is so accurate.
