I have this set. Those instructions are really tattered like a lost treasure map. My instructions got lost somewhere between 1978 - 2024 and moving 7 times.

just got it with the Lego Technic magazine, its not my usual thing, i'm more into film and tv related sets, I do have technic 42121 excavator though. just felt like picking it up, i do like that truck you showed too.

Even though it's not big and spectacular, it is very cute and something to enjoy. Getting more means you can build the original cars but maybe try to make your own from the scraps.

I like that unlike other diving boats this diving vessel actually has room for the dingy and submarine. The terrain looks good enough to be it’s own set

I miss the old 3M finger hinges for those excavator buckets. I think this would more likely be used for clearing debris that’s blocking the rails
