High quality motorcycle content. Most of the time I have no idea what I'm doing. But at least I document it in 4k. Reach out if you want to work with me. German Channel: @adventurist
Great channel you have created. Only two video's and both really amazing! I hope to see a lot more in the near future. I agree about the electronics in adventure bikes should be at minimum. My horrific experience when i realized the Enfield 450 Himalayan had a ride by wire installed made me very sceptic about it. An adventure bike made for off-road should never stop running because of some electric issues. I even demand a kickstarter, because a bike like that should ride even without a battery.
How can you trust what any publication like Revzilla says if they also get press bikes? Press bikes are the norm in this industry, not sure why this is considered a problem. Same thing happens with cars or camera gear. Companies lend you stuff, you review and give it back.
@@LukeHilby the thing is that it’s obvious cfmoto has to rely on influencer marketing, and wide distribution entirely because of the market resistance to them so it’s so difficult to put aside the skepticism. I worked on several Cfmoto when they were making scooter clones and they were just awful. Failed welds in frame, mismatched pieces. Since they came in crates, often components would be missing. Forgive me but did they really make that big of a leap forward that it can be compared to Japanese bikes?
Good to see cheaper bikes coming back to adventure motorcycling, for far too long the new bikes have been heavier and heavier expensive asphalt princesses.
It should be mentioned that in 2017 KTM and CFMoto entered into a joint partnership, so there is a good bet that "some" KTM technology, engineering and quality control may be in the 450MT.
I think a thick, strong bash plate is overrated. It should be able to absorb impacts by deforming, else all the load goes into the frame or engine, depending on how it is mounted. AXP or Hyde polymer bash plates are the way to go, or just leave the thin one on the bike.
I've been trying to work out where this bike fits in ( I do like it) but I think a lot of people think going down to a 450 will be a light easy to handle bike, but the reality is it's still nearly as heavy as the bigger Middle weights like the T7 ( only 10kg lighter) so you're giving up a lot of horsepower and road capability for minimal weight savings , so I can only assume it is the price point.
Good review and wow, your English is amazing. I really liked the use of idiom. The spoiler "thingy" and "cheers" were really nice to hear. Whilst you have a German accent, you don't have that mid Atlantic accent so many European speakers of English have. You should feel proud of your video and your excellent English.
Very good report, no hype, just the facts, presented well! Well done, Chris, Flying Brick (we are developing bash plate + pannier rack + crash bars), here, in SA.
Hi Luke! thank you so much for the review. Most significat for me was fake weight on data . This is what was the big difference between CF450MT or Kove800x, for instance. so with this values... i will be directed to kove800x (doble bike with same weight now).... Therefore, i would expect a similar review for Kove800x ;)
More reviews brother, ☝️I feel getting a real enduro, fe390 wr450 ktm 450 used is the way ,,you become a dirtbike mechanic, which is nice ,dropping oil is easy and a filter every 5 fills,,,,,
You sir, are a true adventurer. Regarding the oil changes, the 10,000km interval on bikes is strictly road use only and there is always a condition in the manual that states hard use demands shorter intervals. The general rule is that for any off road you should halve the intervals. So 5000km is a good interval for most bikes. It's possible CFMoto were considering this when they stated 5000kms.
