What a lovely video. I wonder if all of those precious souls are in Glory with the Lord Jesus Christ? Or perhaps some are the nonegarians of today😊 What a wonderful record of dedicated witness for the Lord we love.😊❤
Such a beautiful song. I had this on repeat when my husband was in intensive care. At that point I was aware all I had was Jesus. There was nothing else to rely on. Xx
What a wonderful slide show you created with the lyrics...love it...I met him in Los Angeles in 1983 and this has been one of my favorite sings since then..
As a march enthusiast I would like to know the background march at the 22.45 mark of the video. It is a very catching and noble march. If anybody knows please let me know so I can research the march so me and my ensemble can play this lovely tune during infantry inspections prior to regimental parades. Please advise. Sincerely Victor
This brings back so many memories from when I was at Bromley Temple with my parents and family. I thank God often for General John Gowans and his guidance.
In spending most of my time running the SP&S stalls throughout the Congress gave me the opportunity to meet many people from all over the Army world. Great memories see this film. I actually even managed to sell a bible to the General.
I remember singing .Storm the forts of darkness at the Albert .hall. The singing parts were printed on manuscript and there was an error in the printing of the words. Instead of .'while the heedless millions die' we read 'while the headless millions die'. I still remember that every time I sing the song!!
Beautiful song with so many truths. Love the second verse - He'll let us go if we choose to live life on our own, then the only good that will ever be said of the pains we find ourselves in, is they are places to gain the wisdom to say "I'll never leave Him again." So true.
What a shame this film is in such poor condition for such a historic event. What happened to the colour? The original seems to be stored at the BFI Film Archive, although not available on BFI player
Thank you for this, I remember as a nine year old attending the field day at Crystal Palace and my highlight was getting an autograph from Joy Webb, who 15 years later became my neighbor. thanks for the memories.
