Hey everyone, welcome to my channel. I'm currently 24 years old and living in San Francisco for a masters program. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
They have a sizing guide on their website where it’ll take your US size in a specific shoe and say what size will best fit you in their shoe. I’m a US 12 in converse but it said to get a size 45 which translates to a size 11 but I saw someone say it’s accurate so i think im gonna buy them in a 45. Sorry if that was confusing
What you got there is the 93 Sandlot edition, a recreation of the shoe in the movie. One thing they’ve changed recently is the insole. They used to have an extra bit of foam glued to the arch they called the “rigid wedge”. It’s still printed on the insole, but it’s gone. It’s now a flat piece of pretty cheap foam. I think the reason is that most people take it out and replace it with their own. I do. It’s a signature feature that I’m sad is gone, but times change. The insole had been getting cheaper over the years. The new styles and color ways really do show that a woman is in charge now. They’re not bad. Just a little…feminine. Minimalist. Sad to see the selvedge stripe go. Good review! Can’t wait to see the follow up.
Santa Rosa is having a sick sale right now many of their boots are going for between 100 and 300 bucks. not sure why it seems like a fire sale. anyway i have all three of these boots and they are great because they balance the design so well, perfect shaft height, pointed toe but slightly rounded, looks like Dr. Soles rubber that can be wet. perfect with a tapered jean and can even shift well because the leather is stiff enough.
@@timedone8502 they are made in Mexico. the leather has been very solid, no idea which tannery they source from but my hunch is mexico as well. the leather lining is buttery soft, leather topped foam insoles, Dr. Sole half soles with a stacked leather (leatherboard?) heel stack. i would consider them more for style. i have not had any lose stiches or anything fail outside of notably the pulltab on the sides of the boot, they are decorative not functional so i pulled it off quick and glued it back on. i like their boots but i would reccomend ten others first but the snake boots look badass with blue jeans and a schott leather jacket.
@@bobjohnson6321 thanks. Very helpful to know. I have too many boots already so I am trying to resist the current fire sales. They mentioned Made in America but I highly doubt they were made in the US at that price. It looks like the company is closing (like it did before). Sad to see that it may go but there are just too many high quality shoes makers these days.
As long as the quality keeps up, I'll continue supporting and buying PF Flyers. The first pair I got was back in 2006, and they were awesome sandlot recreations. I wore them to school and got a ton of compliments throughout the few years I had them. When they started back up in 2021 I bought a pair of Sandlots in the first release. I bought another pair of the newest releases being closer to the original movie design, and I've had people complement or even just notice them. They're comfortable, fit well, and I think the company is picking up speed. If enough people wear them, they'll grow the popularity. I just got in a pair of center Hi's and cant wait to break em in. Cheers
@@nathantran471she still advertising it like his has the arch support but if you take out the insole it completely flat and from dollar tree , she’s also refusing to do any shoes with the classic striped on the back
Bro I wear tighter side 29/32 - true side 30/32 in Levi’s and polo jeans do you think if I get a pair of geths at a size 30 (only size they got) think they’ll look as nasty as you described hypebeast look in the beginning of the video 😅
Kassia Davis will drive that company into the ground she’s refusing to get any more vintage striped centers black and white she got rid of the red ones the All American original is gone and re tagged as the Bob Cousy wants like 100 bucks and color selection is horrible. Sad!
They got rid of the Posture Foundation insole, so now it's cheap, flat crap you could buy at the dollar store. Company is doomed. Shame cause I think the PF Flyers look better than Converse. Oh well, hopefully Red Ball Jets take their place.
