Helpful again! After having the Daylight Omega 7 for a few years, do you have any problems with the head falling down? I have the OttLite and I'm worried the post on it wont go through the holes in the light bracket on the Lowery stand.
Your demo was REALLY helpful. You showed it using a recliner, you used with a Quantum frame, you showed me that I DON'T need the extender bar, you showed how tall/short it goes and you showed that the powder coated was the same. Very thorough demo, thank you thank you thank you so much! Answered all of my questions.
@@gracenotesstitchers-corrin6784 Do you find the head of your lamp keeps falling down or does the head stays where you put it? Thank you for your response.
@@solarwinds- my lamp stays put, the daylight omega 7. I have an off brand I take to retreats. It falls constantly, until I get the right angle and tightness. Then I can get it to stay.
Your Flosstube Friends turned out beautiful! I got bogged down in a couple of the dresses and put mine in time out for a while. I am so glad I joined in with May Poll; it was a lot of fun! Happy stitching! - TaMara
Hi ladies! I was at Fiber Fest last year in Macungie with my embroidery guild. I didn't get to the one you are talking about. I love your projects. Especially the Paris piece since the Olympics will be there. I'm glad to hear you are growing your business! The HAED you will start is gorgeous. Until next time, enjoy the rest of your week 🌷
I absolutely loved May Poll... I put up WIPS that I haven't stitched on yet this year or very little... it was great to see what everybody was stitching on!!! I will post how many stitches & how many pieces I stitched on tomorrow! I feel the same as you about Making Finery... I saw that it was going to come up on HAED site & just kept refreshing until it finally popped up... I'm as excited about stitching her as I was with Aquarius!!! Great to see your Flosstube!
I’m so glad to hear that. I can’t wait for MayPoll next year. I yay, I’m so glad to hear that about Making Finery, thanks so much for your help. I’m prepping the fabric today!
The stainless steel model is the deluxe model and is a robust unit and heavier than the powder-coated models, at least this is what I felt was implied on my research before I bought the SS version. I think this is why the stainless steel model is less likely to tip. However, as I have not seen a powder-coated model I have nothing to compare to my SS model.
Not exactly - they operate the same. Deluxe would imply extra features, and now I have both….they have exactly the same features. Honestly, the silver grey is not going to tip if you hold onto it when swinging in and out! Of course, in carpet you have to be more careful.
I used to buy my from 2 shops in Canada. One has since closed and the other doesn’t seem to be stocking them. Now the only way to buy them in the US, is Lindy Stitches online and Hobby House in New York - you can’t buy from Omanik directly anymore.
Hi ladies. To both of you, I love your projects. I'm so excited for the retreat, and like I messaged you, I'd be happy to help with set up since I'm just a hop, skip and a jump away 😊 I hope you are feeling better. Take care 🌷
Colleen, I hope you're feeling better. Your Paris piece is looking great! Corrin, I love the idea of your new group. I might join it for next year; this year's just too chaotic for me to do anything that involves planning LOL. Happy stitching! - TaMara
She is finally starting to feel better. Oh, I hope I didn’t make it sound too complicated. There’s no planning on my part (others might). I use my Wipgo picks and poll 2 of them and then stitch on the winner. Once that’s done, I pick 2 more. I know some people might strategize, but I’m keeping it simple! We look forward to seeing you anytime!
You can think of it as a tic tac toe board. Up in the bottom left, skip the center hole, down in the top right hole. To cross- up in the bottom right, skip the center hole, and down the top left. So you are essentially covering 9 holes with each stitch
I’m so glad to hear that y’all had an amazing time at retreat! Grogu is looking good! Your finish is beautiful! Could you send me a link to the perforated paper frame?
It’s an Ottlite with the tablet holder. Yes, I have used the lowery chart holder. It does much better if you use their magnet board. I use the tablet holder for my kindle. I am used to lots of light when stitching, so I’m not sure if I “need” it or want it. I like having light over me, for when I’m pulling threads, etc. instead of just having it on my project.
What light are you using on your lowery stand? I found your channel because I was looking for the daylight lights that are comparable with the lowery stand accessory, but this one looks like it is different than the one you unboxed on your channel.
Wow you’re observant! I actually have moved my Stitchy spot, so this is my daughter’s lowery. It is the BoliOptics light. My first daylight magnifier broke, and I couldn’t get another and tried many different brands. This one was decent, but wasn’t in love. I finally found someone who carried the omega 7 and was able to get a new one. My hubby asked me not to take my new daylight to retreats, so we compromised. My daughter uses the BoliOptics at homes and I will be taking it to retreats.
I had purchased Mary and stitched The Blue Flower's Moonlight Sampler on it for my sister... it is a beautiful fabric! I am loving your monthly event in your FB group; I am stitching Halloween March by Teresa Kogut to finish the last one. I was disappointed that Teresa Koguts pdf charts aren't PK compatible, I too, am a PK lover! I have Winstitch, I am curious as to how you converted it to work? I have finally signed up for your fabric of the month club, I'm a 1 over 1 28ct stitcher!!! Until next time!!!
Ooh, I should say I didn’t convert it, but put it in myself, stitch by stitch 😳. It takes time, but I figure it speeds me up enough and I enjoy stitching it a LOT more, so it’s worth it! I’m so glad that you liked the Mary, I think it’s a really good neutral. Thanks so much for the positive feedback for our Events. I am having a lot of fun with them.
@@gracenotesstitchers-corrin6784 I had wondered if you did it stitch by stitch... that's the only way I could see it being done! Halloween March is confetti heavy, more so than an Aimee Stewart Bookshelf!
I think it’s time for another WIP parade lol. The Princess Bride and Paris Mandala are gorgeous!! Starbucks has made public on their website that they give financial funding to abortion organizations. I’m not sure about your feelings about abortion but it might be something to look into. Shop local and small is always better :)
lol. I feel like every video IS a WIP parade. You’re right, I had seen that. We actually go to a little shop called Java Joint around here, and we ended up going to Sheetz yesterday!
@@gracenotesstitchers-corrin6784 the way you described your local shop sounded so good! If I ever get a chance to go to your retreat, I’m gonna have to try it. Lol maybe I just think yall got more WIPs than the reality.
@theokiestitcher oh my gosh yes. To both. I have like 83 Wips. Crazy! Colleen has probably 45. The little shop is pretty close to the retreat and a minute from hobby lobby. You’ll definitely have to come some time. And the hotel shuttles people there!
Thanks for the video. I’m in the market for one of these and this was helpful. I have a question, dies the light come in a softer version. It looked fluorescent almost. I wanted one with more of a light light yellow hint as opposed to the blue led type. Just curious. Thanks for the video!
It was so good to see both of you again! I can't remember the name of the piece Colleen has but it's Paris themed (maybe the Eiffel Tower?). Happy stitching! - TaMara
I'd love to see the Eiffel tower again Colleen. I couldn't make it to the last sit and stitch so you may have finished it. Enjoyed the floss tube. See you in April 😊
