Collecting and sharing sports cards and non-sports cards accumulated over the past 30+ years. Baseball, boxing, cricket, turn-of-the-century historical and political figures.

Thank you! I love picking up the baseball themed trade cards. I started going after them a couple years ago and have a ton of fun researching them. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Just stumbled across your channel and love a good non-sports card collection. Some awesome pickups here. Those Washingtons look great. I usually aim for the presidents and founding father guys. Jack johnson is always fun to collect too. Sweet stuff man keep it up. Dropped a sub!
Thanks! Glad you found the channel! I try to have a good mix of cards to share. I was thrilled when I was able to snag those Washingtons and the Jefferson. I have other pickup videos that you might enjoy as well. I love prewar, trade cards, non-sports, etc….I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Thank you! I’ve been pretty lucky stumbling across those variations. I’m sure I’ll eventually find another copy of the damaged one. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Thank you! Yeah, it’s difficult to find the time to do consistent videos. I’m hoping to get back to more frequent content soon. Cheap pre-1920 Chaplin is always a fun hunt for me! I love finding little nuggets of gold out in the wild. Thank you for always taking the time to watch and comment!
Thanks Graig! I’m sure you have an over abundance of channels to watch and videos to catch up on, but I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment on mine. I always like trying to share a little knowledge and other aspects of the hobby that collectors can enjoy. Thanks again!
Wow - great catch, Eric! I wanted to touch on that when I was recording this and I completely forgot! I thought the same thing when I got it, so I used an inflation calculator and it came out to $16! 😳 Only the high rollers were checking out this exhibition haha. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Thanks, Orlando! Coming from a guy that has an insane collection, that means a lot! I try to share some things that the average collector doesn’t see every day. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Tom! i had a feeling you beat me to that Cousis by a few minutes. man, that was CHEAP! Well done. You know who to contact if you ever want to move it :)
Eric - I figured I needed to move quick when I saw them listed. The seller had them in separate lots, and I was able to get him to break the lot and sell the 3 I wanted separately. You’re definitely at the top of the list if/when I decide to move them. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Howdy Tom. I must have missed this video when you posted it. You simply have wonderful pickups. I hope you find the last "Red Sock" card. I know it's tough when you are missing one. By the way, I also like the McLaughlin coffee cards. Also, nice Red Man card of Doby. I like the artwork of that set. Thanks for the neat video.
Hey George! Thanks for taking the time to watch. I think this one slipped through the cracks because I posted during the National. There were a ton of videos being posted then. I think that Red Socks card will be a long-term hunt, but I’m up for the challenge! Since you follow my IG, you’ve probably seen a lot of these pickups already, but there were a few I haven’t shared yet. I’m glad you enjoyed! Thanks again!
Thanks - I dabble in a little bit of everything. My collection is primarily baseball, but I pivoted into non-sports and minor sports over the past few years, which makes up 95% of what I purchase now. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, Warren! Ironically, I started buying some baseball cards again, but 95% of my purchases are still non-sports, minor sports, or trade cards. Thanks again!
OUTSTANDING VR, Tom! However, your first two cards, spectacular as they are, wouldn’t of qualified you for the contest because they’re slabbed. I wanted to reward responders for having raw trashy cards in their collection that aren’t necessarily even slab worthy but yet are too sentimental to part with. But you rallied big time with your last six beautiful examples of raw trashy cards with great supportive stories. I also give you credit because those who may have begun collecting after the 1980’s probably have always had protective devices to keep their cards from organically becoming trashy. But the cards you showed are trashy good. Supported by the fact you don’t even need to keep them protected because as you mentioned what further damage can really occur- what’s the point? lol! So, with a resounding thank you for taking the time to participate in my milestone celebration you are entered into the drawing. Good Collecting 👍❤️
Apologies for not following the guidelines, Rob! I was listening to your video while driving to work and must have missed that detail. Hopefully nobody follows my mistake! You’re correct, I started collecting in ‘91 and the majority of my childhood cards have been protected. I tend to purchase trashy cards after they were made trashy by others. The two slabbed cards were submitted by me, so they were trashy raw when I got them haha. I’m glad I included other non-slabbed cards in my VR to get qualified! Fingers crossed now for the win!
Well done VR, Tom! Some trashy, but pretty darn impressive cards. Love the historical cards. They show their age but that makes them so much more authentic. Thanks for showing us some wonderful cards.
Thank you, sir! The historical non-sports stuff has really grown on me over the past couple years. It makes for a great alternative and a new learning curve when discovering these cards. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed! This is actually my least viewed video, but probably the one I had the most fun researching - go figure! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
Thanks, Mike - I’m glad you enjoyed! I’ve been wanting those Stooges cards for a while now and finally found a good set at a good price. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
@@mackeymintle66haha I guess that depends on what you consider a good price. They have definitely gotten pricier. I was happy with my price considering the condition they were in. Plus I got all 3 in a private deal with no taxes, fees, and shipping costs.
Thanks,Mark! I love the early Chaplin cards pre-1920. I just need to find more documentation for this one, so I can get SGC to slab it. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I just subscribed to your channel and I’ll check out your videos!
Wow Tom, what a fantastic array of pickups. All great stuff. Very neat trade cards. That Joe Louis card was an amazing pickup; however, that lot of pre-WWI boxing cards has to be my favorite. I am a big fan of early 1900's or pre-WWII boxing cards. You did well. Thanks for the display.
Thank you, George! I know you’ve seen a handful of these on my IG account, but sometimes a video shows them off a little better. Those boxing cards were one of my favorites as well! So many awesome surprises as I was sifting through the cards when I got them! I haven’t decided yet how I want to tackle the 3 complete sets, but I’m sure I’ll sell at least one of them. Definitely cool no matter the condition. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Thank you, Peter! They’re definitely one of my favorite things to search for. I love trying to find the unique trade cards now, but they’re starting to get pricier. And I was super excited when I stumbled across those T202 end panels. I love the prewar baseball stuff, but never go after it due to the price tag. At $50 for that trio which included the Mathewson, I can play in that sandbox! Fingers crossed on the authenticity Haha. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Ha! Not this time, Eric - I definitely watched a few auctions, but didn’t pull the trigger on any. I know - I thought so too! I couldn’t believe no one else bid! I was expecting to pay at least double that. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Great VR, Tom! Love that '69 McCovey card. What an exclusive club! Some great cards and amazing feats. Excellent research!! Another amazing two home run game you might not know about is Braves pitcher Tony Cloninger. I heard the report on the radio of what Cloninger did as I was listening to a Dodger game on a Sunday afternoon in July 1966. Cloninger hit two grand slams in the same game against the Giants.
Thanks for stopping by to check out the video and comment, Rob - very cool story about Tony Cloninger - I wasn’t aware of that accomplishment. Thanks for sharing!
i picked up some 1908 artist cards and noticed the indentations on some of the corners and didn't realize where the indents came from until I saw this video. I like chess a lot and there are some chess Stollwerck cards too. It seems like there's a little bit of everything. The artwork is very nice, and descriptions seem interesting. I know some German and can understand a little bit.
That’s awesome - I’m stoked you found this video helpful. I really enjoy these Stollwerck cards too. Most are relatively affordable. What year are the chess cards from? Also, if you didn’t know, there are German cigarette cards from 1930 that have chess players on them too. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
Thank you! I love the oddball vintage/prewar stuff - it’s usually much more affordable. I really enjoy collecting baseball, but this stuff has been a great alternative. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
