Thank you for checking out my channel. It is, as you can see, a bit scattered as to subject matter. Nature is the number one goal of the channel, eventually live streaming of the forest and all it has to offer. RC toys are a bit of a fun hobby that I also enjoy and I have added a couple of videos relating to them. I am getting familiar with some video editing programs and will do more editing as the channel goes forward.
I have a small stretch of woods on the property and I was just hanging out there to de-stress during an overcast dusk, but i saw something moving in the neighboring field. I was sitting down, watching it as carefully and silently as I could without my glasses or a flashlight. I wasn't sure what it was, and i figured it would've smelled or seen me so i didn't know if i was safe. Turns out, it *didn't* see me, and as soon as I heard the footsteps sounding more like sticks and pine needle detritus than grass, I knew it was getting closer and I was McWorried. I stood up to leave, heard THIS sound not knowing it was a deer sound, and it ran away from me and me from it. Very glad my initial "it's probably a deer" was correct, but WOW that noise is scary in the dark when you don't know what it is!
I live in the woods and heard this a few times lately but the deer were hidden in the foliage - glad to come here and confirm it was a white-tailed deer call. Also heard the call along with a hoof stomp, and deer don't 'stomp' unless it's deliberate. I wonder if she has fawns nearby (it's June). It is quite startling!
Yeah, well it is RU-vid, and although most of us see the mouth opening, as you did, there is always going to be someone that is opposite. Thanks for commenting and watching. Much appreciated,
I was jogging in my local forest park just now and heard these sounds repetitively. I ran away so damn fast, I really thought it was a person. I saw a giant herd of deers in a private property area, so I looked up a video to make sure it wasn’t a person being tortured.
Probably just off the edge of the yard in the bush. Usually get to see a deer family or two over the year. Nice little fawn this year and a young buck has been around this summer.
I would think so. I my area you have to be nice to the animals until hunting season. Pay a high tag fee and blast the critters away. I am sure if caught shooting animals with paintballs one could get into expensive trouble. I dont bother with hunting, but live where it is a recognized activity and respect my neighbors right to do so, but paintballs would be classified as abuse. Thanks for the comment although it just seems like a fun sarcastic comment. Any comment helps my lame page. :)
