Glad to see I am not the only one using old guitar multieffects on synths. How have you managed to stop the Boss from clipping with the hotter signals from the synths?
If you do not already know the piece, I recommend checking out the album Time Machines by Coil. It is a dark ambient love letter to altered states of consciousness, written with a MS20 and pedals. much like your set up here
Great stuff. It looks like you are not using the default Ableton mapping of Launch Control, but your own mapping. Is that correct ? I am asking because i am trying to use both Push and Launch Control simultaneously and i couldn't find a way to lock Launch control to a Track. Because of this whenever i change track on Push the same happens on Launchcontrol and vice versa. Do you know if there is a way keep them both on different tracks ?
hello, reading your comment, i come up with just a quick question : do you use a lot push and launchcontrol at the same time ? are you happy with the combination of the two ? i have a push and am getting a launchcontrol next week.. i am not sure i made the proper move.. for me the push would serve as a clip/scene launcher + plug ins/instruments tweaking, while the launchcontrol will avoid me to constantly look for channel volumes in the push, or panning, or tweaking some return fx etc.. so in short, the Launchcontrol would act as an ableton general mixer control, while the push would be here for me to play notes, launch clips, scenes, and have access to precise control over some chosen instruments and plug ins. what do you think ? thank you for your answer.
Yeah I think I was using a custom mapping for this one. I am still using both in my sets. I generally try to keep my tracks down to 8 now so I don't have to worry about the channel shifting when I use factory mode. Using the pickup setting in the midi generally makes it not an issue though and as long as I keep track of what channels the push is highlighting it's not much of an issue.
The combo is really really nice. Being able to utilize the sends and change volume allows for the push to mainly be for triggering and using the knobs for channel devices. It's also very convenient for selecting the highlighted channel with the launch control so I can leave the push on device view.
@@latchwork66 amazing ! This comfort me cause I pretty much bought the launch control like “ok let’s do it I feel it like that” and I had a small doubt about the impulse ahah thank you for your answer !!! It’s gonna be a blast !!!
@@laurentsauvagnac Hi. I wouldnt say that i use them a lot. However i explored them a bit and working to build a setup primarily to perform. Here is my take. All of the things that you mentioned should work as per my experience till now. However the problem you are going to have with default mapping is that both Push and Launchcontrol will keep following one another when you change tracks. So if you want to tweak the device parameters independently then you will have to create custom mapping on launchcontroller which should not be difficult(I havent done it yet though).
BOC is probably my favorite music act of all time and I'm feeling that you're the only person who managed to harvest their aesthetic this well, added your own taste to it and created something new, great job!
Thanks so much! Here are 4 of my favorite BOC covers: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6_JsDR6N1lw.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0PCmypJmt3M.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--yAeZx1K_OY.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kBG3IMAakmc.html
I wish you would explain please because i think the same way 😂. Gods cannot die they don't get sick and tired or they hate their existence unlike us mortals with weak body and brain and hurtful souls. I wish you well being man
