its a grey area because yes the landing was a little rough, but Chicago MIdway is not a big airport with small runways so they have to try and get the plane down as quick as possible to slow down.
It might have been a little on the hard side but the main gear didn’t bounce. If overhead bins didn’t fly open upon landing I suspect it was normal. Due to where you are seated the main gear is only 15-20 feet away from you. Judging by the windsocks at 27:57 and 28:17 the pilot had roughly 10-15 knot crosswind 30-45 degrees from the left. I say it’s a good landing given the circumstances.
I agree. Maybe in the future, I’ll cut Tower after my flight’s takeoff and pick it up with Departure if there is one. I’ve also pondered the idea of uploading a non-atc version of my videos. I still have all the raw unedited videos.
That's super neat! Switching between all those programs to make it work for you is truly remarkable to watch. That taxispeed hold button looks super handy. Great to see some "old fashioned" fsx on the platform. Keep up the great work!
@@JoeDFWAviation Yeah. I’m sure it definitely helps with that and as you were saying like holding points instead of calling them in a non movement area
Pretty good. I know it's much harder than it looks like. My comments are to slow to 120 Knots on the downwind leg and square off the base more.. This way there are less inputs needed to slow down and less corrections on final. Good job! I am anxious to come up and give it a try. Then you can critique me!
