Thank you for this song. I am Canadian. My mother was a war bride from Donegal. I know that she missed home at times but never let on to her children. Although she died years ago, it's as if this song is Mum expressing how she really felt. It was so beautiful.
Yet another wonderful song from Megan. I sincerely hope that this one is a reflection that life is gong well for you. Wishing you peace, joy, love, and happiness. God Bless.
Just heard this on LyricFM. Beautiful song! 👏👏👏Captures the beauties we remember all the more when oceans separate us. The longer I live the more grateful I am to live here, for all the faults it's still a great little country. ♥️♥️
My mother said this song was for my sister and I. Now being a mother; I can understand what she meant. My son is my miracle and wish; and it's so sad that time passes so fast. If we could only save time in a bottle... 🥹🥹🥹
Amazing as usual-my new favorite song from Megan. I have a shirt that says "My scars are reminders of times that life tried to beat me but failed". I simply refer to Isaiah 40:29-31. As a former Choral Scholar at UCD, you are an amazing young lady.
Here because Spotify included song on my weekly release radar and it stopped me in my tracks. This beautifully rendered lyric video only enhances the experience. Fingers crossed for an album or more singles. ✌️💛 from Texas.
I heard this sign few years ago and downloaded it from yt cuz I didn’t know what to search for in Spotify and then I lost it altogether when I changed my phone and forgot to backup all my audios. Today, after a long search I found it again. Still loving it~
🇺🇸Beautiful!👏👏 Saw your poster on Juliette Lewis's wall, in a new show called "Yellow Jackets." It's a crazy show but with great choices in music (to me) so I had to check you out. #CREEKSQUAD #RHEC #UPCHURCH
Hello Megan. I have been living in Berlin (a fab city in itself) since 2007. Unfortunately there is a part of me that will never settle here... I am not far away from Ireland; just 2 hours by plane, but it's not and never will be home. I still say "I am going home for Christmas". It is sad that I cannot give everything to where I am, but also, I cannot change it! Your song is amazing. The lyrics cut straight to my heart. Thank you for singing and sharing it with the world! Best of luck with all of your future endeavours! I am thinking about my next cup of tea with my mum at the kitchen table. 🙂
Your music came highly recommended by a Corkman who heard you live this summer. Now that I finally got round to listening, Paramore comes to mind... really enjoyed this, looking forward to hearing more!
Hi, do you think it would it be OK with you if I used this (amazing) cover in a video of mine? It's a video about depression and mental health. It won't be monetized, so I won't be making any profit off it or anything - I just want to use it for artistic effect! Let me know, I would really appreciate it :) Thank you!
Verse 1] I know, you get colder in the winter I remember that snow like it was yesterday Every year, we’re both getting older I thought I’d be back to you by now, but I’m still on my way [Pre-Chorus] There’s a saying, isn’t there? That home is where the heart is But I swear Every part of me is there Bridge] There’s a saying we all know May the road rise up to meet you, wherever you go I hope that road is leading home [Chorus] So I’ll take your rain instead of sun The green of your hills and the summer that never lasts long The way you’ve made the whole world fall in love with your dance and your song And I’ve only learned to love you, now that I am gone I’ve only learned to love you, now that I am gone I’ve only learned to love you, now that I am gone Ireland you’re my home Ireland you’re my home Ireland you’re my
