i had tanxiety almost 2 years long until one of my FC members who is main DRK encouraged me to try again a like 2 months before DT dropped and i'd say, i am a rather good tank now. cleared a few MINEs and a savage as DRK now, but i am still a little scared of tanking (or healing) ultimates. might try it after i've cleared the lv70 ones
another stunning cover <3 I'm such a huge fan of Simon and Garfunkel, esp the Boxer. beautifully sums up why the story of this game is dear to me. great work!
I love the song so much, but I do feel that the instruments are a tad bit loud (to a point where its disruptive) Well done with filling mugs of tears though
One of, maybe even your best yet! Though - and I really don't want to start *that* discussion - "DT spoilers" leaves me somewhat ambivalent: for DT did *not* make me cry! There wasn't anybody that left me invested enough or made me feel like I had come to know them well enough to cry over their loss. In fact, if anything, your video with its flashbacks to prior expansions drove that home even more! Such missed opportunities...
Yeah I didn't want to accidentally ruin it for anyone who's still playing story. ARR and HW are 8-10 years old at this point so felt I could get away with those more? Sort of? I agree with you on the end zone stuff, I think most of us have seen the discourse over pacing in the story. But it does leave me hopeful for further stories in the future!
As someone put it quite eloquently during a Job quest: "Woe betide the man who stands opposed to the Weapon of Light, for death will be his reward. Death for him and his kin and all that he holds dear. Woe betide the man who stands with the Weapon of Light, for death will be his reward. Death for him and his kin and all that he holds dear. Like sands through the hourglass, everything we fight so desperately to protect slips through our fingers... and what remains... what remains... Is us. Only us, and the momory of our sin." Which could have made a fitting title for this video, if a bit on the longer side - but why wax poetically when you can sum it up in three simple words? Thank you for another wonderfully made video - keep up the good work! And now I need to find those damn onion-cutting ninjas...
Dangit...video made me cry, too. TT_TT And had goosebumps as well; brilliantly done! There were so many scenes in the game which had me absolutely bawling (and yes, the scions had to drag me back to the airship along with Lyse...because Papalymo. ;_; And then you can meet his father in Sharlayan just to drive the knife deeper years later.). I feel like you paid more homage to Krile than the story did.
a beautiful day for rain... even if i am sat inside... where its not raining... well done as always i love how some of the shot line up with the beat its just perfect!
Can you put the "spoilers up to dt" in the thumbnail? Title is to long to see it directly. The video starts when you click on it, with a not that small spoiler, depending how far you are in the story
Even then he wouldn't let me die. He's been around in this game for way longer than me and has the patience of a god; he tends to prioritize healing me (as DPS) instead of the tank or healer in rolos and msq dungeons - never going as far as risking a wipe, but I always know I can count on him to carry me through if I mess up mechanics and am always the first one to be raised xD Edit: also planning to level Black Mage in the very near future once I'm done with dragoon. So he already knows the pain of healing me and knows it will only get worse - but I bet he'll simply adjust xP
Of the 3 ladies I was waiting to see in this video only one was actually there, that being Ameliance. The other two being Garyda and Nael deus Darnus. Although I forgot Sadu. My love for her transcends gender roles. Even the quote on the wind-up Sadu is something like "Male or female? A pointless question. She is Sadu." which admittedly doesn't work as well with English having gendered pronouns
One of the nicest bits of making these videos is seeing people's journey through the game in the comments 😀 I mean, my feral soul HAD to be a big ol' chonky shell boi!
A sprout here, started as Bard before the call of sword and shield called me as Paladin, this song parody fills my soul with DETERMINATION! Onwards to Heavensward, finally knowing How To Tank!
@@PlamSwitch No, I've just been randomly listening to your FF14 songs and occasionally sharing them with friends so this happened to show up in my yt recommendations xD
