Winning a championship is not in yet in his cards and hope he sticks with it and keep that hunger going and improve along with the team. Its like the Chicago Bulls with Jordan back then where they came up close to going to the finals but end up empty but kept on going at it and improve and ultimately was able to Win one which ended up with how many back to back to back.
“They” say that he is a ‘product of the system’ or a ‘system quarterback’. Think about it, if a quarterback is playing well, has learned the system he is in and is taking full advantage of it. Isn’t that what you hope the QB of your team does?
I think Brock Purdy is a great QB, he is poised and is a great scrambler and the Super Bowl could have easily gone either way. Please hear this, I grew up just south of Kansa City and have been a long time KC fan and am a fanatic KC Chiefs since Mahomes came to town. That said, I was very impressed with what Purdy did when he came in as a desperation move by the 49ers and then stepped up to the plate and an injury kept them out the Super Bowl in 2023. He is an elite QB or they wouldn't have gone to the Super Bowl in 2024 and took the game Overtime and a break down in coverage that allowed Chris Jones a straight shot at him led to the 49ers settling for a field goal. And then Mahomes led the Chiefs to the win in overtime using the play that helped them defeat the Eagles the year before. SO, while I'm happy the Chiefs won, without Chris Jones stormin' the fort, it couild have easily gone either way. 2024
Was Joe Montana a game manager? Yes. Was Tom Brady a game manager? Yes. LOL. What a ridiculous slam. Don't forget that Nick Foles won a Super Bowl for the Eagles, Jalen Hurts so far has not.
Because he was drafted last, the only thing the haters have to compare him to is Kurt Warner (undrafted). Brock and the 9ers will get one or two in the next 3 years.
We're to be straight up honest it's just that most of those people who are talking down on him weren't low draft picks they were high draft they were literally the first pics and they can't stand to let someone who is mystery relevant be irrelevant and in my opinion he's a great quarterback on his own if you wanted to be a dick and hog the ball like Cam bitchh head who mind you literally choked every time but pretty is not like him He's a great player who makes others better and that's called teamwork they just mad that they don't have Brock Purdy on their team go Brock
Guys. Please. Don’t do this. Y’all gonna make Purdy a guy people ACTUALLY hate. I’m not a SF fan. But I like Purdy. Criticism isn’t hate. People saying he hasn’t done enough to name him a franchise qb isn’t hate. It’s reality. It’s like how we didn’t look at Nick Foles and say he was a franchise QB. We gave him his flowers and moved on. Same here. If he goes and gives another good season we’ll think of him how we think of most qbs in the top 8-15 spots. Better than average. And franchise worthy. Which is what I think he is. But his ceiling is higher.
Bret Veach is the 12th Man. Nobody is going to beat the Chiefs on the field until they learn how to beat them on draft day. I still can't believe they snagged Xavier Worthy. Have you seen his highlight real? Mahomes will get a 50+ TD season in the next 3 years.
Is Purdy great? It’s too soon to know, imo. After the Patriots beat the greatest show on turf in the Super Bowl at the end of the 2001 season, it looked like the Patriots and their young quarterback, Tom Brady, just got lucky against the Rams arrogant head coach. It was not for a few more years that Brady was looked at as great. Brock Purdy is off to an impressive start, but is surrounded by world class talent. If he continues to play at a league leading pace, he will get his due.
Brock Purdy has started 31 games for the 49ers. Yet at least one commentator who covers 49er football says that is not enough. Wait and see how well he does next season he says. That same commentator has CJ Stroud on his list of elite QBs after one season with stats that are not as good as Purdy's.
You establishment has Not got like Brock Purdy because he was not recommended by the establishment. He came out of nowhere surprised he was first round or second round and he was certainly not on the radar of the experts is not a product of the 49er system. He is just a good QB.
Brock Purdy is a really good QB, possibly top 10 in the league. However, due to his lack of tools, I wouldn't call him elite. His ceiling is limited to an extent. He can still improve and he showed flashes of elite play in that Green Bay game. Brock isn't elite, but saying he is only a game manager is just wrong.
I am a Mountaineer fan. I remember VIVIDLY Brock ripping my heart out. So no this man is a winner and I am very happy for him and wish him nothing but the best. And yes this man is elite. Look at the talent of the other QBs that couldn't do it.
Every "ANAL" yst talkin' about whether Purdy is this or that is a joke and a laughable example of their job. With that being said, what ever happened to only worrying about wins and losses? Oh, that's right, all the bullshit talk other than pure facts is what gives most of these bums a job to do in front of a camera! My hope is in the future that there are so many teams and so many games happening all over the calendar year, that we are watching football 24/7 and these bums are out of a job because nobody wants to turn off a football game to hear their gums flap!
Just read that Patrick's heart rate was monitored during this last Super Bowl. On the field his heart rate remained remarkably low and steady. Off the field watching the defense it was noticeably higher...Kid is a BEAST!
I love Patrick Mahomes, BUT, I don't know if he would have succeeded under any other coach. Coach Andy Reid is the "quarterback whisperer". What I like in a qb is 1) FI/LO (First In/Last Out). 2) Smart. 3) Makes great decisions correctly. 4) Coachable, beyond coachable, wants to get pushed, every day, for 1 additional thing. 5) Physical ability. I see a lot of people that just look at the physical ability.
Ok punish the officials for mistake. By your logic we should fine players for dropping easy TD passes or fumbles when no one hits them. Grow up people make mistakes.

If you dont believe in advanced data and analytics, we can also comapre him to the QB he repalced who had the same scheme and weapons, and no suprise there, he blows him out.
Tua has MUCH better receivers, an equally good run game with two very good backs, a decent tight end and better protection. Goff also had very good backs, amon ra and the best o line in the leage. Both didn't make it as far as Prudy but people don't call them system QBs
Chad Ochocinco isn’t wrong though, as Phil Simms once said “When you give an average QB time, he turns into a great QB”. I don’t dislike Purdy, I think he’s a good player, but it’s the glazing that makes most people not like Purdy. Not to mention, if you put Derek Carr, Matthew Stafford, or any decent/good QB, are you going to get worse outcome than Purdy? Not really, 49ers have arguably the best RB, TE, WR Duo, and LT. Their defence has an outstanding edge rusher, MLB, CB, and safeties.
Jared Goff is better than Brock Purdy because he throws a better spiral than Brock Purdy. - Colin Cowherd. Let that sink in a bit. Now, Tom Brady has some of the most ugliest spirals.
