I didn't have a spark plug socket the correct size of these spark plugs. I did have a regular deep socket, which like the video, got the plug loose but ]wouldn't pull the plug from the hole. I don't have a magnetic tool to retrieve it and then had an epiphany. I could use the coil pack to retrieve the spark plug. I took the coil pack, pushed it back down the hole, got the end to go over the plug, and pulled it out. I also used it to put the plug back down the hole and even get it started threading in.
@@mattshu actually, I didn't even watch the video that far. I was more looking for how to get to the spark plugs themselves as I hadn't done it on this vehicle before. Would have saved me a few minutes trying to come up with something. Glad to see that great minds think alike!
Great stuff. I highly recommend using dielectric tune up tube and anti-seize lubricant. One for one end and the second for the other end. Read instructions for which is which.
There’s usually an arrow. And since the fan is below the filter, place the arrow down (pointing to the fan). Remember, the airflow goes through the filter FIRST! Good luck.
so so helpful. thanks!! need to do this soon. didn't want to hurt anything while removing the cover, as the vehicle i am working on will be the same one needed to make any parts run if i damaged something. this vid answered all my questions.
It's a shame that there are no aftermarket manuals for the 5th gen CR-V. And few videos on the net for DIYers like yourself. 2022 is apparently the last year of the 5th gen CR-V so hopefully we will see a chilton manual for this car.
Honda is absolutely confusing as far as recommended intervals for spark plugs AT fluid diff fluid. I seen it says every 30k for transmision. Then i saw 90k then every 30k.
