Soil shouldn’t sit in water. Search double cup method with wicking as this keeps the soil out of the water whilst still delivering needed moisture to the growing plant.
@GettingBentWithBo

How long do you keep the top cup in the bottom cup of water before dumping out the excess? Also at what point do you remove the plastic wrap and let the seedlings be exposed to air?

If you use a square bottom cup underneath, you wont need a spacer, OR - cut slots w a hot knife across the edge of bottom & side so cup can drink while sitting in a pan of liquid. I am using Ferry Morse 72 cell tray only to set my solos in. No undercup. !

Horrible tree, invasive species. The so called benefits to bees are far outweighed by the cons to the native species.

Do not burn plastic, the fumes are toxic and will cause headaches indoors. Just drill a hole instead.

I've always wanted an enclosed terrarium! Guess I gotta make one now... Would you recommend starting with something as large as this one or something smaller? Also, great choice of espresso machine 😉
@GroundedRoots
@GroundedRoots 6 месяцев назад
Larger terrariums are a little more resilient to abuse, but you can definitely start smaller. I'd probably not go much smaller than about 1/2 gallon though. That espresso machine gets a lot of use 😅

This is neat and all but i am the type of person that like staring at my seed collections in the jars just to see the different types of seeds. Of course there is not much outside light getting into my bedroom anyways so i suppose it don't really matter, if i let light in it would glare up my TV's so fucking bad

How often do you water at this stage?

Great recipe think ill have to try it next season, i know this is an old video but a tip regarding the pH strips, they only work for low temperatures. Same goes for a pH meter. Temp should be under 35 Celsius
